Imran Khan has won elections on 26th July,2018 resulting PTI Government in Federal, KP, Punjab and partially in Baluchistan but he had won the hearts & minds of those who knew his fight was not for throne, when he started giving awareness to the masses about conventional political system of this country designed to benefit the rulers. It won’t be wrong to compare Imran Khan with William Wallace of Scotland who also believed Rulers existed to provide people with freedom.
This point in time, in Imran’s political life, this may be a defining moment as with literacy rate of country around 58% not many would understand the mumbo jumbo of socio-economics dynamics however they know it was Imran who once decided he’d win cricket world cup for this country and he did, it was Imran who once decided he’d make a state of the art Cancer Hospital in this country and he did, it was Imran who once decided there should be a university of International education standards and he did and now they want Imran to wood turn his magic wand and do something majority of this country has been gagging for “Integrity”
Some may differ that Integrity is a proportional term related to many factors such as education, Infrastructure, Physical Capital, Technology, Law etc. but Imran Khan knows this nation is hungry for some honour. He would definitely give his best to under promise and over deliver but at the same time he knows it’s better to illuminate than merely to shine. I as a citizen of this country would have doubts on Imran’s delivery competence, had he been a conventional politician but that he is not. He’s a sportsman who knows the key is not willing to win, It’s the will to prepare to win. The conviction in his words, the shine in his eyes, the persistence in his journey makes me believe, he is fighting all odds to win, win for the people of this this country, win for the generations to come. Few years later when we are old or may be deceased, people of this country may not remember if Imran Khan ever made it to the Prime Minister’s office, but they will surely remember what Imran Khan did for this country. His image from being a sportsman to politician has now transformed into a statesman who stood persistent through the thick & thin.
Some say despite all this long walk to this point, he stood lucky to have met such circumstances that triggered his image as a Messiah, to which I partially agree, Yes he’s been lucky to have been born and raised in such circumstances where he realized instead of being climatised to such environment where one had to adjust to situation, one should revolt and that’s where his lucky charm began, His endeavor. Luck is dividend of sweat. The more you sweat, The luckier you get. From the days when dharna started back in 2014, I witnessed many things that doesn’t normally cross your sight, I saw people on wheelchairs, women holding their new born babies, elderly, young, all sparked up and full of hope to the day of election, July 26th when I came across an old lady who told me she was patient of cancer and doesn’t move about but she came to vote for Pti because she believed her vote should be helpful in chipping any amount of efforts towards Naya Pakistan.
So basically, Imran Khan has two types of followers, the real world believers who think it’s still a bumpy ride as it won’t be anytime soon till we yield the fruits of his policies and the fantasy world dreamers who think now that Imran Khan is in command, everything will be honky dory. I believe in both, I Believe in my skipper who would make it sound a bit strange & let the fantasy world spill out into real world. In Imran’s mystic world, it is believed that anything that can exist in real world it must first exist in “astral plane” where all policies are thought up, it is also believed that we can access & control what happens in astral plane so that it could manifest in real world. Skipper has always taught us to dream big so if his followers are living in fantasy thinking his charisma would do wonders then it’s only natural. This is what new age calls “visualization” and what religion calls “prayers” and what we call “surreal effect”
