We would like to provide you an update regarding the upcoming Intra-Party Elections (IPEs) in the USA.
Overseas International Chapters Election Commission (EC) has carried out its due diligence on the members list provided to them by the LLC. Unfortunately the EC has discovered a high number of irregulaties, mainly associated with members failing to follow prescribed procedures when registering additional family and non-family members online.
In light of these irregularities, the EC has asked LLC to get further information on these family and non-family registrants. It is imperative that we all work together to ensure that the final member list includes only genuine members/voters, as this is one of the most critical components of conducting a free and fair IPE in the USA.
The following needs to happen in order to finalize the member list:
1) In the next few days the LLC will be reaching out to members via email to get further information regarding their multiple registrants.
2) Members will need to provide LLC the requested information for these registrants by the 17th of November, 2017. If this required information is not provided to the LLC by the 17th of November, the registrant will not be able to vote in the upcoming IPE.
This delay may seem inconvenient to all stakeholders. However, this provides an excellent opportunity for us all to help strengthen our election process and ensure a credible outcome.
