<p align="center"><font face="Times New Roman" size="4"><strong><u>Notification</u></strong></font> </p> <p><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Upon the recommendation of the International Steering Committee I would like to announce that Elections of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in the United Kingdom shall be held on Sunday June 14<sup>th</sup> 2009.</font> </p> <ol type="1"> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">The tenure of the elected body shall be one year.</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">The office bearers to be elected are:</font> <ol type="a"> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">President</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Vice President</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">General Secretary</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Secretary Welfare </font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Finance Secretary</font></li> </ol> </li> </ol> <ul> <p align="justify"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">The Information Secretary shall be nominated by the President in consultation with the elected body.</font></p> </ul> <ol type="1" start="3"> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Elections for UK excluding Scotland shall be held only if the membership exceeds 300 as of May 10, 2009</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Elections shall be held for Scotland separately if membership of Scotland exceeds 100 as of May 10, 2009</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Elections for different chapters in different cities shall be held if the membership of the chapter is 30 or more.</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">The office bearers to be elected in each chapter shall be as follows:</font> <ol type="a"> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">President</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Vice President</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">General Secretary</font></li> </ol> </li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Every member shall vote for UK/Scotland and if a chapter has been delineated in his/her area for the Chapter also.</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Chapters shall be delineated on May 15 after the International Steering Committee receives the final membership lists of England and Scotland.</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">All positions/tiers will cease to exist on May 15<sup>th</sup>.</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Membership lists by current office bearers should be made available to the International Steering Committee on April 15<sup>th</sup> and May 1<sup>st</sup> and May 11<sup>th</sup>.</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">It is necessary for 30% votes to be cast to validate the election.  Anything less than that would render the election invalid.</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">All members would be eligible to vote and contest who have paid six month dues.  Payments can be made together for six months up to May (Dec 08 ??? May 09) on any date on or before May 10.</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Voting shall take place</font> <ol type="a"> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Physically in London and any other city so delineated in Scotland by the ISC.</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Electronically (via email) for all those who cannot reach the physical voting place.</font></li> </ol> </li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">The ISC shall form and announce the UK Election Commission based on recommendations received.</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">The Election Commission shall ensure the: </font> <ol type="a"> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Integrity of the membership lists</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Fairness and transparency of the entire election process</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Equal access to voters for all candidates</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">That all voters are aware of the election schedule and the rules and procedures of voting</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">That physical and electronic voting is held in a fair manner</font></li> </ol> </li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">The Election Commission shall also announce the last date for receipt of nomination papers and the last date of withdrawal.</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Any modification to the schedule and procedures shall be communicated to all.</font></li> <li><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">An appellate panel shall also be constituted by the International Steering Committee and all clarifications about procedures shall also be made by the ISC</font></li> </ol> <p> <br />  </p> <p align="justify"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Dr Arif Alvi</font></p> <p align="justify"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Secretary General</font></p> <p align="justify"><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf</font></p> <p><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">7<sup>th</sup> April 2009</font></p>
