10th June 2012 - PTI Wales setting new standards for the rest of the chapters to follow. The very first PTI Wales key workers training session was organised on Sunday the 10 June 2012 in Swansea. A great number of PTI Wales Key Workers attended the session. A measurement of success could be the representation of all major cities and of Wales such as Cardiff, Newport, Bridgend, Swansea, Merthyer Tydfil, and Llannelli, Carmartheshire. The session was delivered by Riaz Hassan, PTI Wales Country Coordinator (Membership). Who informed attendees that PTI Wales had now gained members in all major cities and towns of Wales. The PTI Wales focus will remain to establish PTI Wales in every single corner of Wales and recruit more like minded people amongst the Welsh Pakistani Community. He emphasised that it is the PTI key workers, whose active support will assist in establishing the PTI Wales Chapter. On the occasion he said ???I believe that you are the most important asset for the party, and therefore, your active help and contribution towards PTI will greatly assist us in the forthcoming election in Pakistan, which is now less than few months away. To win, will require a lot of hard work by all of us over these next few months. I believe that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has the answer to the problems facing Pakistan, but to make this change a reality, PTI has to form the government and be in power???. In his introductory remarks, Khalil Khan Chair PTI Swansea welcomed and thank everyone for attending the session. Riaz said that we need a strong and dedicated team that knows about PTI and its policies and key messages. The training session covered area such as; What is PTI Stands For, PTI its Vision, Mission and key policies; PTI in the context of the UK; PTI in Wales; PTI and its local structure, membership, fundraising, oversees voting rights. What are our key messages and how members should be presenting themselves when promoting PTI to new members was also covered as part of the training. This training is the first step towards a positive direction which will help to make an effective campaign for membership and fund raising for the party. The PTI Wales core team expressed their thanks and congratulations to all PTI Wales key members for making the session a success. It is through this team work that committed PTI Wales members will play a crucial role in mobilising the remainder of the community and promote PTI and its key messages to all Pakistanis in Wales. Riaz specially thanked Farida Aslam and Khalil Khan towards the development of the training materials and its structure. He also thanked the International Affairs Office for their guidance and feedback on the training materials.
