PTI Virtual Fund-Raising Telethon
As the most anticipated General Elections of 2024 approach, the nation gears up for what is poised to be the most significant election in Pakistan's history. People of Pakistan are aiming to bring the most needed Change through the power of their vote.
In line with this democratic spirit, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf conducted a ground-breaking virtual fund-raising event, broadcasted live across all official PTI social media platforms, hosted by the PTI’s social media team.
Two fundraising portals dedicated to supporting the upcoming election campaigns were launched during the virtual event encouraging the public to contribute to this crucial cause, fostering genuine freedom for Pakistan, and to actively play their part in shaping the nation's destiny.
The #PTIFundarisingTelethon faced challenges as the internet was intentionally shut down, and access to social media platforms was restricted in various regions of the country. This concerted effort aimed to suppress and silence the voice of the nation during the fundraising event, seemingly without recognizing the substantial economic repercussions for the country. Netblocks, an Internet monitoring entity, verified a nationwide disruption in social media platforms on Sunday night.
Despite these challenges, the virtual event gained substantial traction, with hundreds of thousands of people tuning in to watch the event live on various social media platforms, including YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram and within the first 24 hours around 100 million were collected, underscoring the overwhelming support and engagement from the audience.
The event, hosted by PTI's social media lead, Jibran Illyas, and Ali Malik, commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran. A video showcasing the top 105 achievements of PTI government under the leadership of Imran Khan was presented, setting the tone for the event. Following this, the PTI Secretary General, Omer Ayub Khan, delivered a speech and shed light on the formidable challenges faced by PTI candidates during the submission of their nomination papers. He underscored the difficulties arising from the attempts of pre-poll rigging against PTI, under the purview of the impartial caretaker government and the Election Commission of Pakistan. He also highlighted the need to donate as much as possible for PTI’s election campaign for a better Pakistan.
Founder Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s recorded message urging people to donate as much as possible for this cause was also played in the event.
“My Pakistanis, as the elections approach, we require funds to effectively participate in this democratic process. Elections demand financial support, and I urge all of you to donate as generously as possible. The collection of these funds is vital as we gear up to face the powerful mafia, and we want the support to come directly from the people, to whom we are accountable. I encourage your active participation in this sacred fight for Haqeeqi Azadi (Real Freedom).”

Tributes were extended to all those who have endured and made sacrifices in the pursuit of Haqeeqi Azadi over the past two years. A special emphasis was placed on acknowledging the unwavering strength of women prisoners who have been unjustly detained in baseless cases since May 9th. Their determination serves as a powerful testament to the enduring spirit of the cause they champion.
Videos were broadcast as a solemn tribute to the memory of PTI workers and supporters who lost their lives due to state fascism specially on May 9th, 2023.
The event also paid heartfelt homage to the late Arshad Sharif Shaheed, an esteemed journalist in Pakistan, acknowledged as a national hero. His life was commemorated as one that embodied an unwavering commitment to truth and justice. Arshad Sharif's legacy was celebrated for his refusal to compromise on his principles, even at the cost of his own life. His dedication to upholding these values left an unforgettable mark on the nation, and he was remembered as a symbol of integrity and courage.
The conspiracy of May 9th False Flag Operation was unveiled through a compelling video montage, showcasing evidence that shed light on how Imran Khan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf were ensnared in a plot designed to favor the Sharif mafia. This orchestrated plan provided a pretext for a ruthless crackdown against PTI, ultimately aiming to eliminate them from the political arena.
The video presented a distressing sequence of events, starting with the brutal abduction of Imran Khan from inside the court premises. It further depicted the burning of state buildings by unidentified individuals, strategically placing the blame on PTI. The narrative continued with the tragic killing of at least 25 workers, along with the illegal arrests of over 10,000 PTI supporters, workers, and leadership.
This revelation underscores the gravity of the situation, exposing the lengths to which the powerful went to discredit PTI and hinder its political presence through a series of orchestrated and deeply concerning events.
As the most awaited elections 2024 approach, there is an effort to sideline the largest political party through extensive pre-poll rigging and a nationwide crackdown on PTI leaders, workers, and supporters. In response to these challenges, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been compelled to organize virtual events instead of traditional on-ground gatherings and rallies.
Despite the limitations, the virtual events have become a platform for PTI to connect with its supporters. The popularity of Imran Khan and the party has been steadily growing, causing unease among those in power. Even in the virtual realm, the presence of PTI has become a source of concern for those in authority.
