PTI to start protest movement from 4th April to highlight masses issues: Omar Cheema | Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf
<p style="text-align: justify">Pakistan Tehreek E Insaf???s &#160;central information secretary, omar sarfaraz cheema, &#160;has announced that from 4th April 2010 , PTI will launch country wide agitation movement &#160;against rampant load shedding and spiraling inflation.</p> <div style="text-align: justify">&#160;While addressing a press conference at party secretariat, Omar Cheema said that Pakistan Tehreek I Insaf has an immutable link with the motherland and has its hand on the pulse of the nation. He said that the nation can only resort to prayers for amelioration of their lot while the rulers whom they had voted into power continue to feast callously at their expense. He lambasted the incumbent dispensation for frittering national resources on their personal security while leaving the nation utterly defenseless and on their own. Not only have the rulers usurped the rights of the people but have also inflicted untold miseries on them in the shape of load shedding, unemployment, and inflation. In such dire circumstances PTI cannot play traditional politics which shall only add to the national woes.</div> <div style="text-align: justify">&#160;</div> <div style="text-align: justify">PTI has decided to launch a practical and direct movement, in conduit with the public, to alleviate the sufferings of the masses. The movement shall kick off from 4th April, in which a series of peaceful protests, rallies and seminars shall be held and all means necessary to compel the rulers into solving the national problems shall be employed.</div> <div style="text-align: justify">&#160;</div> <div style="text-align: justify">If the rulers do not have the capacity to fulfill their duties then they better resign immediately. How a national assembly can be expected to deliver which often fails to complete the quorum? PTI invites all the like minded political parties, trade unions and public segments to participate in this struggle for salvation of masses and in this connection a committee has been formed, which shall take on board different political parties. Through this press conference, an appeal is being made to the nation to join hands with Pakistan Tehreek I Insaf, at this critical juncture in our national history, to turn the tide of history by getting rid of incompetent rulers once and for all.</div> <div style="text-align: justify">&#160;</div> <div style="text-align: justify">PTI welcomes the efforts to repeal the 17th constitutional amendment and shall congratulate the national assembly after due ratification. However, PTI has some reservations on the proposed amendment and is opposed to the constitution of the judicial commission as well as believes that the issue of renaming of NWFP should be resolved through a referendum.</div> <div style="text-align: justify">&#160;</div> <div style="text-align: justify">It has become abundantly clear that the current rulers place self interests over and above the national interest and have no inclination of serving the nation diligently. We would like to remind and forewarn the rulers that PTI is ready to fill the vacuum of leadership and to give direction to the public angst and dismay. If corrective measures are not undertaken, the deluge of public outrage shall sweep away all the towers of corruption and poles of powers.</div> <div style="text-align: justify">&#160;</div> <div style="text-align: justify">He was flanked by Central Vice President Javed Iqbal, President Women Wing Saloni Bokhari, Secretary Information Talat Naqvi, Amin Zaki, Mian Khalid and others.</div> <p style="text-align: justify"><img alt="" src="/Portals/0/UserUploads/zahid/ospr02.gif" /></p>
