25/07/2012 ??? London: Yesterday PTI London Dream Team had a get together at iftar. This evening was organised by Dream Team member Kashif Ihsan at his residence in west London. PTI Islamabad steering committee convenor Justice (R) Khalid Javed who arrived in the UK few days ago was also present. London elected body and members of the Dream Team welcomed Justice (R) Javed to London. During the dinner Justice (R) Khalid Javed shared his experience about Pakistan politics and PTI with the team members. He said that due to the corrupt politicians he always stayed away from the politics but now he feels that the nation has found a true visionary and honest leader in Imran Khan. He shed light on the recent event in the politics and generally in the country, he said that due to the mismanagement of the Govt the whole system is on the verge of collapse. He said that this scenario should be taken as a wakeup call for the nation and everyone should play his part for this movement to bring down corrupt mafias of the society. Justice (R) Javed said that Imran Khan has worked hard to bring PTI to this level and due to his sincere efforts and determination he has now brought together the best people from Pakistani society to plan for the future of the nation. He said that during his life time he has never seen such a vibrant group of leaders working together for one cause. He affirmed Imran Khan???s words that nothing can stop this Tsunami now! He said the best thing PTI has done is that it has provided a platform for the youth, the educated segment of society and the deprived off people to get together and get things right in Pakistan. He asked Asim Khan (PTI London President) about the work being carried out various PTI teams in the UK. Asim Khan explained to him the new structure of these teams and told him about the progress PTI UK has made since last elections. He said that since the launching of UK membership website and through the series of event in the UK, a large number of Pakistanis are joining PTI every day. He also mentioned the contacts he has made in other countries i.e. Haiti, Romania, Lithuania etc to start PTI chapters there as well. He also explained the role Social Media and event teams are playing to increase awareness and memberships. Asad Mahmood (coordinator IRW) also briefed Justice (R) Javed about the vital policy recommendation work IRW is doing all over the world with the help and support of top Pakistani technocrats. Asad Mahmood also shared the idea of starting a literary wing of PTI UK. Justice (R) Khalid Javed said that he was very happy to see PTI UK working so hard and getting the desired results in terms of memberships and funds generation. He said that after his return to Islamabad he will ask the Islamabad teams to coordinate with London teams and work together. He said this will create a sense of fraternity among the PTI members and will set a model for other teams too. London Dream Team members including vice president London Mr Qawi Awan, Dr and Mrs Asim Shafiq, Kashif Khan, Irfan Awan and Sharjeel Iftikhar were also present there. At the end Justice (R) Javed thanked the Dream Team for their hospitality and wished the elected bodies all the best for their future plans.
