Despite this grand exercise of public obfuscation, the rulers stand badly exposed. Shahbaz Sharif???s grandstanding on this affair cuts little ice as its him and his cronies who have been ignominiously thwarted and ever since have been lying incessantly to control the damage. This episode amply demonstrates the total collapse of discipline within PML N and the ramshackle leadership of Mian brothers. Mian Nawaz Sharif had vowed publicly to bring about disciplinary action against the instigators of the resolution but just like the fateful Bhurban declaration he miserably failed to live up to his own words.<span style="">   </span>The way he has genuflected before the defiance of Sanaullah masti khel group clearly betokens the end of his political career. People of <st1:country-region><st1:place>Pakistan</st1:place></st1:country-region> have repudiated the duplicitous and hypocritical politics of Mian brothers .</p> <p class="MsoNormal">Pakistan Tehreek I Insaf stands shoulder to shoulder with the media fraternity in this war for their independence and demands immediate and unconditional withdrawal of this scandalous resolution and impresses upon the Government to eschew its hypocritical policies pertaining to the independence of the media. PTI has filed a writ petition before the Lahore High Court praying for the expunging of the anti media remarks passed during the passage of the resolution from the official record.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">If Nawaz Sharif cannot fulfill promises made to the nation, he better quit politics. The way the resolution was unanimously passed by all the parties in the assembly clearly betrays their undemocratic mindset and none of these pseudo champions of democracy can afford independence of media, judiciary and the election commission.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">Pakistan Tehreek I Insaf has strived valiantly for the independence of judiciary, election commission and the media for the past 14 years and commends the vibrant role played by the media in the movement for the restoration of judiciary. Being an ideologically motivated party PTI firmly stands for the pristine ideals of independence of media, judiciary and election commission whereas forces of status quo as PML N have assaulted the media and the judiciary a number of times in the past.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">PTI vociferously condemns the dastardly assassination of Secretary General <st1:stockticker>BNP</st1:stockticker> Habib Jalib Baluch and expresses its heartfelt grief over this tragedy and offers deep condolences to the bereaved family.
