<p>PTI California Press Release</p> <p>By Usman Ali</p> <p>Los Angeles, California (Friday June 15th, 2012): PTI - California chapter hosted an evening with Mrs. Fauzia Kasuri, founding member & President of PTI Women Wing. Event was held at Rancho Senior Center, Irvine and attended by 150+ PTI supporters & members. Purpose of the event was to develop political awareness among Pakistani Americans and to educate them with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ideology, activities & to raise some funds for ongoing PTI membership drive in Pakistan. <br />  <br /> Addressing the gathering, Ms Fauzia Kasuri elaborated on PTI ideology to bring a meaningful positive change in Pakistan through a peaceful political struggle. She highlighted the efforts & sacrifices by Imran Khan, Chairman & founder of Paksitan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Ms Kasuri passionately expressed her personal experiences from PTI Jalsas & ground work efforts by PTI Women Wing and ISF student volunteers who work tirelessly in simmering heat & adverse conditions to spread PTI word going door to door in campaign. She requested the guests to sign up for paid membership of PTI to help support the cause and mentioned that PTI has no other source of funding besides the $10/month donations of its members to fund its political activities. The crowd overwhelmengly responded to her donation request & Ms Kasuri thanked the volunteers & guests for raising big donations. <br />  <br /> Gathering was also addressed by PTI - California lead Usman Ali, PTI - Orange County lead Ishtiaq Shah, Women Wing lead Sadaf Agha, and PTI - CA team members Mehboob Aslam, Adnan Akram, Sherry Khan, Asher Zulfiqar, Sunya Ahmed (qirat) and PTI leader Abdul Qayyum Kundi from Fresno, CA. An auction of signed PTI merchandise was held to raise funds and guests enthusiastically supported PTI - CA team efforts and donated generously for the cause. <br />  <br /> At the end PTI - California team expressed their heartiest gratitude for the generous help and support of its members and guests for their time and donations. Team leads expressed their desire to continue look forward to its members continued support in future as well. Event was honored by prominent Pakistanis including Dr & Mrs Razaq Chaudhry, Dr Salman Naqvi, Mr & Mrs Shiraz Saleh, Dr & Mrs Asim, Mr & Mrs Nasir Cheema, Ausaf & Awab Ali, Ghulam Abbas, Ghulam Rabbani, Masood Syed, Faisal Khan, Nadeem sb, Mrs & Mrs Tasneem Rehmani, Mrs & Mrs Adeel Ahmed, Asher Zulfiqar, Pervaiz Ahmed and other dignatries.
