Matter of determination of date of holding of elections
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has demanded the President Dr. Arif Alvi to announce the date of the elections immediately.
PTI Central Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan has written a letter to the President of the State Dr. Arif Alvi.
Article 48(5) of the Constitution obliges the President to fix a date within ninety days for holding elections in case of dissolution of the National Assembly by the President.
As the President of the State, you should fulfill the constitutional requirement of fixing the date of the elections so that it is possible for the people to choose their representatives and to act according to the intention of the people for the constitution and the state.
