Dr. Yasmin Raashid advisor to PTI Chairman said in Zain murder case where a 16-year-old orphan boy, Zain who was shoot dead by Mustafa Kanju, son of former minister of Foreign Affairs Siddique Kanju has left a big question mark on country's justice system. It is mystery whether it was big money, threats or police influence that forced 13 prosecution witnesses in Zain murder case to deviate from their previous statements she added. She said recorded statements of Sohail Afzal, complainant of the FIR and uncle of the deceased Zain are available on media where he said he has saw Mustafa Kanju opened fires on his nephew and killed him. It seemed Mustafa Kanju has threatened them of consequences if they did not deviate from their previous statements she added. She said it was simple open and shut case where the criminal has confessed in front of court that he has killed the boy and witnesses recorded their statements against Mustafa Kanju. But the unfortunate outcome of the murder case was very much expected as the criminal son of powerful ruling elite was indicted on murder charges she added. She said who could dare to punish Mustafa Kanju when his brother is the MNA of the ruling party, PML-N and Sharif Brothers are on his back. Because of this type of cases where ruling elite is involved the frustration and rage of injustice in society manifests itself in taking the law into one???s own hands consistently she added.
PTI Information Secretary Andleeb Abbas said what more evidence was required when Mustafa Kanju confessed to firing the fatal shots that ended Zain's life. What happened in Zain murder case manifests the unfortunate fact that only kills the sense of justice in this country of rule twisting by the elite she added. She said it was much expected from day one that Mustafa Kanju will go scot-free and Zain's mother would grieve forever till she lives. Were is Khadam E Alla now who has promised indiscriminate action against Mustafa Kanju with the mother of Zain while handing over her a cheque of Rs.500, 000 she asked. She said Shabaz Sharif has proven that human life can be bought with money. Shabaz Sharif should be ashamed of himself that after being in power for 35 years he could not give this province a fair system where everyone should be treated justly and equally she added. She said unfortunately the justice system we have in place is like a dual world for its citizens, it is like heaven for those who have the power and money while it is like hell for poor. She demanded Mustafa Kanju should be tried in Military Court to set an example for all these powerful people who think they can get away with murder.
