<p><span id="dnn_ctr749_ContentPane" class="DNNAlignleft"><span class="Normal"> <p><strong><font size="4">Mohammad Madni,&#160;convener of Insaaf Student Federation Lahore speaks about his role as a leader of ISF.&#160;</font></strong></p> <div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">"ISF is a group for intellectual, concerned students of Pakistan.&#160;We are different from other federations in that we are against dictatorship and dictatorial set-ups.&#160;While other groups may claim they are against dictatorship, they practice the same dictatorial policies within their organizations.&#160;</div> <div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf is a fast growing, revolutionary party.&#160;Chairman Khan lives in the hearts of 99% of the students.&#160;ISF???s basic target is to help the party move the nation toward the restoration of judiciary, a free state and a progressive Pakistan.&#160;Just as the Chairman did not hesitate to fight the odds to achieve a better Pakistan, we too are inspired by him.</div> <div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">ISF does not believe in any discrimination based on gender, sects, or faiths.&#160;We desire to eliminate all forms of discrimination both in letter and in spirit.&#160;Justice is not confined to one group, one religion or one sect.&#160;It is a cause of all humanity.&#160;And we would like to bring everyone concerned about having a just society to ISF.&#160;</div> <div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">At the inception, like all revolutionary movements, we too faced opposition from the established order. &#160;But the message I would like to convey is that our educated class needs to come out with us.&#160;Most of the students of Pakistan tend to have usual dreams of having a good job ??? getting&#160;15 ??? 20,000 rupees a month, a small house, a car and a partner after which they can relax and comfortably criticize the politics and political situation of the country without willing to challenge the order.&#160;</div> <div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">I disagree with this view point.&#160;I may not be able to light the way for Pakistan ??? the way of peace and progress - but I have to make the attempt.&#160;I and my fellow colleagues were beaten up when we protested against the arrest of Chairman Khan. &#160;We were then thrown in filthy jails.&#160;When I started on this path, many warned me of the dangers but there is no choice but to struggle forth. And one person struggling inspires others.&#160;Chairman Khan inspired us, and we???re going out to convince others to march with us.&#160;</div> <div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;">Our strongest weapon is that of love and tolerance.&#160;There are many students who are hesitant about joining because of the fear of opposition from other armed student organizations or those student organizations who have wrecked havoc on campuses with weapons.&#160;I would like to tell these students wanting to join Tehreek-e-Insaaf that first of all, we will not be fighting anyone with weapons.&#160;Our battles will be of ideas to bring out the best in ourselves and in those who have lost their way with negative student politics.&#160;Students are the backbone of society.&#160;We cannot ignore the need to spread awareness in this group simply because the past actions of a few student organizations have polluted the well of ideas.&#160;&#160;&#160;</div> <div style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt;"> <p>As Hazrat Ali (RA) has told us, orders established on the basis of subjugation cannot withstand the tests of time.&#160;We too believe that our efforts will bring about the change for a more just order in Pakistan.&#160;"</p> <p>Profile of Mohammad Madni:</p> <ul> <li>Student of Punjab University, College of Pharmacy</li> <li>Masters in Islamic Law from the Islamic University</li> </ul> <p>&#160;</p> <p>* Mohammad can be reached at contact # :&#160; 0301-611-2060</p> </div> </span></span></p>
