Imran Khan's interview with Muhammad Malick | 6 May 2018 | Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf

Chairman PTI Imran Khan on how PTI prioritised Human development governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the need for Peshawar BRT (06.05.18)

“I wish you would do a show and ask the local people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, I am confident our lead has doubled in KP. I also urge CJ to see properly how the state of the hospital were 5 years ago and compare then as of now.  Five years ago, there were only 3000 doctors now there is 9000 and today we have health cards and we have restructured those government hospitals and changed the management which never happened before in Pakistan. And If you look at the police law and order.
The most import things human development, health, education, law and order and environment which includes local government system are the basis and need for governance from the bottom to the top and I will challenge anybody that at present Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is top of these in Pakistan. This leaves BRT the reason why it was needed is there one only on main road in Peshawar which would become clogged. With Asian Development Bank we would have made it earlier, however it took 2 years for a feasibility, the reason why Asian Development bank are funding the project is because there is no subsidy so it is profit making. Whereas the metro projects by PMLN you could make one Shaukat Khanum which is a deficit that’s Punjab Government has to pay each year. So here in Peshawar for 3 years we will make a profit, with the amount of traffic (in Peshawar) the project is feasible.
PMLN party is run from its Media Cell and on advertisements ever since adverts with Shehbaz Sharif have stopped without his face on them their development has stopped.
People will vote for us as people will see in KP the human development, growth rate, tourism, employment and human development is the best in Pakistan out of all the provinces, I challenge as It is our first time in power and they have been in power 20 years taking turns just compare.” – Imran Khan
