Former Prime Minister Imran Khan's Message to the Nation from Adiala Jail:

I firmly believe in God, that 2025 will be the year of true independence for this nation.
Since the regime change, the country’s economy has been devastated. Businesses are shutting down, and instead of new investments, industrialists are withdrawing their investments. Economic growth requires investment. There are four main reasons for this economic decline:
1. The Collapse of the Rule of Law in the Country
The constitutional bench of the Supreme Court has tarnished its own reputation by allowing the sentencing of civilians and political prisoners through military courts. The establishment of military courts and the constitutional bench has dismantled the rule of law in the country. This has also jeopardized our GSP+ status. After the sentences handed down by the military courts, the rule of law in Pakistan has been completely eradicated. Foreign investment has now become a distant dream, as no one is willing to invest in a country where the rule of law has been abandoned. You can bring temporary and superficial stability through coercion, but unemployment and economic decline cannot be reversed until foreign investment flows into the country and public trust in the government is restored. The cornerstone of the country’s economic development is domestic and foreign investment.
2. Internet Disruptions
In an attempt to crush Tehreek-e-Insaf, the country's IT economy has been severely impacted. The future belongs to IT, but the government's apprehension about freedom of expression has disrupted internet services, jeopardizing the primary livelihood of young people. We are no longer competitive in the global market. Businesses tied to the internet are being systematically destroyed.
3. Political Instability
The interference of agencies(military) in political matters has caused severe political instability in the country. Without political stability, the dream of economic stability can never be realized. Fraudulent elections and a fake system based on lies and deceit make both political and economic stability impossible.
4. Terrorism
The resurgence of terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan has made economic recovery impossible. I have been saying for 20 years that military operations are not the solution. A long-term political solution is required to address the issue of terrorism; otherwise, it will be impossible to eradicate this menace completely.
I am saddened that DG ISPR blatantly lied in his press conference. The proposal for the resettlement of members of the banned TTP was initially presented by General Bajwa himself during the PTI government in front of the cabinet, which was strongly opposed by Murad Saeed, Noorul Haq Qadri, and members of the National Assembly from the tribal areas and Malakand. We had said at that time as well that any step taken without consulting the local population would not lead to a lasting solution. After the cabinet meeting, the opposition was also briefed by the military and security agencies. After the fall of our government, the PDM government was briefed. Following General Faiz’s transfer in October 2021, this matter was never raised before us, nor was any action taken during our tenure.
If resettlement is the reason for the rise in terrorism, then why is bombing being carried out across the western border? The situation in Balochistan is out of control due to the continuous rise in terrorism. Who is responsible for this? We cannot keep repeating the same mistakes and expect different results. For a permanent solution, not only must we acknowledge our shortcomings and failed policies, but we must also correct them.
ISPR owes the nation answers about trying civilians in military courts. What law permits you to be judge, jury, and executioner? Trials in military courts lack transparency.
Our two demands are entirely legitimate and require immediate action. The 26th Constitutional Amendment was not included in our immediate demands because it requires extensive work.
If the government does not take serious steps toward negotiations, our campaign to boycott remittances will continue with full force.

May 9th was a pre-planned operation, which is why the CCTV footage from all locations was deliberately erased. I was abducted from Islamabad High Court on May 9th, dragged by my collar, beaten with batons, all with the intention of provoking public reaction. Even on that day, 25 of our people were martyred, hundreds were injured, and four were left disabled. We were subjected to injustice, false cases were filed against us, and 10,000 workers were thrown into jail. After that, people were pressured to leave Tehreek-e-Insaf. This was done solely to crush PTI under the London Agreement. Those who left PTI had their cases dismissed. Therefore, it is crucial to establish an independent judicial commission for a transparent investigation of this incident. After May 9, February 9 also occurred, when the nation rejected your narrative.
November 26 witnessed the massacre of innocent civilians in Islamabad, and many people are still missing. These individuals were not from the tribal areas; they were abducted from Islamabad, and we fear their bodies were made to disappear, just like those in the Lal Masjid operation. Hence, an independent judicial commission is imperative.

نمبر 1: ملک میں قانون کی حکمرانی (رول آف لاء) کا خاتمہ
ملٹری کورٹس سے سویلینز / سیاسی قیدیوں کو سزائیں دلوا کر سپریم کورٹ کے آئینی بینچ نے اپنا منہ کالا کیا ہے- ملٹری کورٹس اور “آئینی بنچ” بنا کر ملک سے رول آف لأ کا خاتمہ کر دیا گیا ہے- اس سے ہمارا “جی ایس پی پلس” سٹیٹس بھی خطرے میں پڑ گیا ہے- ملٹری کورٹس کی سزاؤں کے بعد پاکستان میں قانون کی حکمرانی کا مکمل طور پر خاتمہ ہو چکا ہے اور اب بیرونی سرمایہ کاری ایک خواب ہے کیونکہ جس ملک میں قانون کی حکمرانی کا جنازہ اٹھایا جا چکا ہو وہاں کوئی سرمایہ کاری کرنے کو تیار نہیں ہوتا۔ آپ دباؤ کے ذریعے وقتی طور پر دکھاوے کا استحکام تو لا سکتے ہیں مگر جب تک ملک میں سرمایہ کاری نہیں آتی اور عوام کا حکومت پر اعتماد بحال نہیں ہوتا بے روزگاری اور معاشی بدحالی کو روکا نہیں جا سکتا ۔ ملک کی معاشی ترقی کا ایک ہی بنیادی ستون ہے جو اندرونی و بیرونی سرمایہ کاری ہے۔
نمبر 2: انٹرنیٹ کی بندش
تحریک انصاف کو کرش کرنے کی کوشش کرتے ہوئے ملک کی آئی ٹی کی معیشت کو بری طرح متاثر کر دیا گیا ہے۔ مستقبل IT کا ہے لیکن آزادی اظہار رائے سے خوفزدہ حکومت نے انٹرنیٹ میں خلل پیدا کر کے نوجوانوں کے روزگار کمانے کا سب سے بڑا ذریعہ متاثر کر دیا ہے اور ہم عالمی مارکیٹ میں مقابلے کے قابل نہیں رہے- وہ سارے کاروبار جو انٹرنیٹ سے منسلک ہیں انہیں تباہ کیا جا رہا ہے-
نمبر 3 : سیاسی عدم استحکام
ایجینسیوں کی سیاسی معاملات میں مداخلت سے ملک میں شدید سیاسی عدم استحکام ہے۔ سیاسی استحکام کے بغیر معاشی استحکام کا خواب کبھی شرمندۂ تعبیر نہیں ہو سکتا۔ فراڈ الیکشن اور جھوٹ ، فریب پر کھڑے جعلی نظام کے ہوتے ہوئے سیاسی اور معاشی استحکام ناممکن ہے۔
نمبر 4: دہشت گردی
خیبر پختونخواہ اور بلوچستان میں ایک مرتبہ پھر دہشتگردی میں بے پناہ اضافے کی وجہ سے معیشت کی بحالی ممکن نہیں ہے۔ میں بیس سال سے کہہ رہا ہوں کہ ملٹری آپریشن مسائل کا حل نہیں۔ آپ کو دہشت گردی کے مسلے کو حل کرنے کے لئے دیرپا سیاسی حل نکالنا ہو گا، ورنہ دہشتگردی کے ناسور کا جڑ سے خاتمہ ناممکن ہے۔
مجھے افسوس ہے کہ ڈی جی آئی ایس پی آر نے اپنی پریس کانفرنس میں دھڑلے سے جھوٹ بولا ہے ۔ کالعدم ٹی ٹی پی کے لوگوں کی دوبارہ آبادکاری کی تجویز خود جنرل باجوہ نے تحریک انصاف دور میں کابینہ کے سامنے پیش کی تھی جس پر مراد سعید ، نور الحق قادری اور قبائلی علاقوں اور مالاکنڈ سے تعلق رکھنے والے اراکین اسمبلی نے اس کی شدید مخالفت کی تھی۔ ہم نے اس وقت بھی کہا تھا کہ مقامی آبادی کو اعتماد میں لئے بغیر اٹھایا جانے والا کوئی بھی قدم دیرپا حل کی طرف نہیں لے جائے گا۔ کابینہ کے بعد اس وقت کی اپوزیشن کو بھی فوج اور سیکیورٹی ایجنسیوں کیطرف سے بریفنگ دی گئی تھی ۔ ہماری حکومت کے خاتمے کے بعد PDM حکومت کو بریف کیا گیا تھا۔ اکتوبر 2021 میں جنرل فیض کا تبادلہ ہو گیا اور اسکے بعد کبھی یہ معاملہ ہمارے سامنے نہیں اٹھایا گیا نہ اس پر ہمارے دور میں عمل ہوا۔
اگر آبادکاری سے ہی دہشتگردی میں اضافہ ہوا ہے تو مغربی بارڈر کے پار بمباری کیوں کی جا رہی ہے؟ بلوچستان میں دہشتگردی میں مسلسل اضافے کی وجہ سے حالات قابو سے باہر ہیں، اس کا ذمہ دار کون ہے؟ کنویں سے پانی نکالتے رہنے سے کوئی فائدہ نہیں ہو گا۔ مستقل حل کے لیے اپنی کوتاہیوں اور ناکام پالیسیوں کا ناصرف اعتراف کرنا ہو گا بلکہ تصحیح بھی کرنا ہو گی۔
آئی ایس پی آر کو جواب تو ملٹری کورٹس پر بھی دینا چاہیے، کون سا قانون آپ کو جج ، جیوری اور خود ہی جلاد بننے کی اجازت دیتا ہے؟ ملٹری کورٹس کے ٹرائل شفافیت پر مبنی نہیں ہوتے۔
ہمارے دو مطالبات بالکل جائز اور فوری عمل درآمد کے لئے ہیں- 26ویں آئینی ترمیم کو ہم نے اس لیے فوری مطالبات کا حصہ نہیں بنایا کیونکہ وہ طویل کام ہے۔
حکومت اگر مذاکرات کے حوالے سے سنجیدہ اقدامات نہیں لیتی تو ہماری ترسیلات زر کے بائیکاٹ کی مہم پورے زور سے جاری رہے گی-
نواز شریف اب صرف سیاست کا بارہواں کھلاڑی ہے-
نو مئی ایک پری پلان آپریشن تھا جس کی وجہ سے تمام مقامات کی سی سی ٹی وی فوٹیج جان بوجھ کر غائب کی گئی۔ مجھے 9 مئی کو کالر سے پکڑ کر، ڈنڈے مار کر اور گھسیٹ کر اسلام آباد ہائی کورٹ سے اغوا ہی اس لیے کیا گیا تھا تا کہ عوام ردعمل دیں۔ اس دن بھی ہمارے 25 لوگ شہید، سینکڑوں زخمی اور چار لوگوں کو اپاہج کیا گیا- ہم پر ہی ظلم کر کے ہمارے ہی خلاف جھوٹے مقدمے بنا لیے گئے اور 10 ہزار کارکنان کو جیلوں میں بھر دیا- جس کے بعد لوگوں پر تحریک انصاف کو چھوڑنے کے لیے دباو ڈالا گیا اور اسکا مقصد صرف اور صرف لندن معاہدے کے تحت تحریک انصاف کو کچلنا تھا کیونکہ جن لوگوں نے تحریک انصاف چھوڑ دی ان پر آپ نے مقدمات کا خاتمہ کر دیا ۔اس لیے اس واقعے پر شفاف اور آزاد جوڈیشل کمیشن کا قیام بہت اہم ہے- نو مئی کے بعد آٹھ فروری بھی ہوا جس میں قوم نے آپکا بیانیہ مسترد کر دیا ہے۔
26 نومبر کو اسلام آباد میں معصوم شہریوں کا قتل عام کیا گیا اور کئی لوگ ابھی تک لا پتہ ہیں- یہ لوگ قبائلی علاقوں سے نہیں اسلام آباد سے غائب کیے گئے اور ہمیں خدشہ ہے کہ انہیں لال مسجد آپریشن کی طرح غائب کیا گیا ہے- اس لیے آزاد جوڈیشل کمیشن بہت ضروری ہے-“
