"Yesterday, through my letter, I highlighted the reasons behind the growing divide between the military and the people of Pakistan. At this critical juncture, it is imperative to reconsider institutional policies in light of the points I raised in my letter addressed to the Army Chief. If this widening gap continues unchecked, it will be detrimental to Pakistan’s interests. Intelligence agencies should not interfere in politics. If institutions focus on fulfilling their duties instead of engaging in political vendettas, their respect among the people will naturally increase.
Yesterday too in my letter, I informed about forces behind the scene disregarding judicial orders to prevent my meeting with Bushra Bibi. Today, once again, despite court orders and the superintendent’s statement, my wife was not allowed to meet me. The same individuals, who treat the law with utter disregard and consider themselves above the Constitution, are behind this. Bushra Bibi is a homemaker, yet she is being targeted solely to exert pressure on me. She was wrongfully imprisoned for ten months, and even now, she remains in solitary confinement. Denying her the right to meet me is a violation of fundamental rights.
The practice of violating women's dignity for political revenge is a new precedent in the country's history, for which this fascist regime and its accomplices are responsible. Disrespecting women is against our social and moral values. Our women’s homes have been destroyed, their privacy violated, and they have been dragged by their collars. In a society where women already hesitate to participate in politics, such acts aimed at discouraging them are utterly disgraceful."

میں نے کل اپنے خط کے ذریعے پاکستان میں فوج اور عوام کے درمیان بڑھتی ہوئی خلیج کی وجوہات کی نشاندہی کی تھی۔ اس وقت کی اہم ترین ضرورت ہے کہ آرمی چیف کے نام لکھے گئے میرے خط کے نکات کو ذہن میں رکھ کر اداروں کی پالیسیوں پر نظرثانی کی جائے۔ ورنہ یہ روز بروز بڑھتی خلیج پاکستان کے مفادات کے خلاف ہے۔ ایجنسیوں کا کام سیاست میں مداخلت نہیں ہے۔ ادارے اگر سیاسی انتقام کے بجائے اپنے فرائض کی ادائیگی پر توجہ دیں تو عوام میں ان کا وقار خود بخود بڑھے گا۔
کل بھی میں نے اپنے خط میں نادیدہ قوتوں کی جانب سے عدالتی احکامات کو ہوا میں اڑا کر بشرٰی بیگم کی مجھ سے ملاقات رکوانے سے آگاہ کیا تھا۔ آج ایک مرتبہ پھر عدالت کے احکامات اور سپرنٹنڈنٹ کے بیان کے باوجود میری اہلیہ کی ملاقات مجھ سے نہیں ہونے دی گئی جس کے پیچھے انہی کا ہاتھ ہے جو قانون کو جوتے کی نوک پر رکھتے ہیں اور خود کو آئین سے بالاترسمجھتے ہیں۔ بشرٰی بیگم ایک گھریلو خاتون ہیں ان کو صرف اور صرف مجھ پر دباؤ ڈالنے کے لیے نشانہ بنایا جا رہا ہے ان کو پہلے بھی دس مہینے بے گناہ جیل میں رکھا گیا، ابھی بھی وہ قید تنہائی میں ہیں۔ ان کی مجھ سے ملاقات کی اجازت نہ دینا بنیادی حقوق کی خلاف ورزی ہے۔
سیاسی انتقام کی غرض سے خواتین کی حرمت پامال کرنا اس ملک کی تاریخ میں ایک نئی ریت ہے جس کا سہرا اس فسطائی رجیم اور اس کے آلہ کاروں کے سر ہے۔ خواتین کا تقدس پامال کرنا ہماری معاشرتی اور اخلاقی اقدار کے منافی ہے۔ ہماری خواتین کے گھر توڑے گئے، چادر چار دیواری کا تقدس پامال کیا گیا ان کو گریبانوں سے پکڑ کر گھسیٹا گیا۔ ایک ایسے معاشرے میں جہاں خواتین پہلے ہی سیاست میں حصہ لینے سے گھبراتی ہیں یہ سب کر کے ان کے حوصلے پست کرنا انتہائی بے شرمی کی بات ہے۔”
