
<p style="text-align: justify"><br /> LONDON: A delegation of PTI UK members met Party???s Chairman Imran Khan at his residence in London, to discuss the current election notification and member???s reservations on the current system. <br /> Talking to the members about the election, he said that party elections will not be held until an agreed process is implemented through consultation of all members and stake holders.</p> <p style="text-align: justify">To maintain the integrity of election process, an independent election commission has been formed in Karachi and the members of election commission will have no direct contact or affiliation with any potential candidate, he assured.</p> <p style="text-align: justify">Imran Khan emphasized that without free and fair internal party elections PTI can not establish itself as a democratic institution and elections are the only solution to resolve internal party challenges, he added.</p> <p style="text-align: justify">PTI Chief emphasized members to send objections and suggestions to General Secretary Dr. Arif Alvi before 4th April 2010 regarding election notification and process. He said that he would like to see PTI as an institution which will groom young leaders to play their active role in Pakistani politics & development. </p> <p style="text-align: justify">The members told PTI Chairman that youth are ready to play an active role in the UK chapter but lack of recognition and unelected leadership is the biggest discouraging factor for them to come forward and play their active part.</p> <p style="text-align: justify">Once the proposed system starts functioning then each and every office bearer will play his/her productive role accordingly and more efficiently according to the constitution of the party, he assured. The members praised Chairman for his inspirational leadership and thanked for his continuous support to PTI members.
