7th December 2023 News Headlines

A summary of today's important and breaking news regarding PTI and the country that the mainstream media of Pakistan will never show you.

One law for NAB criminal Nawaz Sharif and a separate law for national leader Imran Khan.

Today, 124 days have passed since the illegal imprisonment of Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Every day, the prejudiced conduct of courts and institutions in cases involving Imran Khan is becoming increasingly evident. Today's instance of biased behaviour by NAB is a notable example. Chairman Imran Khan's lawyer, Intizar Hussain Panjutha, said, "Pakistanis, the court was opened again last night, and proceedings were held at midnight. Imran Khan's pre-arrest bail application in NAB Tosha Khana case, which was scheduled for hearing in jail yesterday, was postponed by the judge to next Wednesday. But I don't know what happened to NAB that after the end of the court time, they filed a request to schedule the case for a hearing today. The court, which had been closed, was reopened in the midst of the night. We got a phone call about a bail discussion in Adiala Jail in the morning. Today, when we reached Adiala, we repeatedly asked whether there was such an emergency that the court opened overnight. We told them that if the decision remains unchanged, we would prefer not to participate in the proceedings. Consequently, the court scheduled the case for Monday. The same NAB continued to plead today in the Islamabad High Court to cancel the sentence of Nawaz Sharif in the Al-Azizia reference. The nation asks who is behind NAB's double standards".

Imran Khan's meeting with the legal team, message to the nation.

Chairman Imran Khan met his lawyers in Adiala Jail today. After the meeting, senior lawyer Babar Awan said, "Imran Khan has said that February 8 is not just an election day. It is the day of true freedom of the nation. On this day, the nation has to get freedom from the mafia. I don't understand whether the Adiala Jail building has become a judicial complex, and the prisoner is Imran Khan or the whole justice system?" Caretaker Chairman Barrister Gohar also spoke to the media and said that Imran Khan was, is, and will remain the chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf.  Imran Khan will distribute the tickets. If there is a ballot, then there must be a "bat" mark on it".

The decision of the Election Commission to disqualify Imran Khan was challenged in the High Court.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf approached the Lahore High Court against the notification of the Election Commission of Pakistan. Two different petitions filed by Barrister Ali Zafar, say, "The Election Commission of Pakistan disqualified the founding chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf and former prime minister for five years under Article 63(1)(h) of the Constitution and Section 232 of the Election Act 2017. Action 232 of the Election Act has been amended. After the amendment in Section 232, the Election Commission does not have the authority to decide on the eligibility of the member National and Provincial Assemblies. In the notification issued by the Election Commission on August 8, 2023, Imran Khan was not a member of the National Assembly at that time. The honorable court should annul this decision of the Election Commission.

Hearing of the case against leaking the conversation between Bushra Bibi and lawyer Latif Khosa.

In Islamabad High Court, a hearing was held against the leak of a private conversation between Chairman Imran Khan's wife and a lawyer under Justice Babar Sattar. The court has ordered in the audio leak case that the FIA should first investigate and tell where the audio was released. The FIA should respond to the next hearing by determining about the audio leak. The court was instructed to send a copy to DGISI as well. He said that DGISI should also report who released the audio. The court has also issued notices to FIA, PEMRA and PTA for the next hearing and sought their response.

Nawaz Sharif withdraws from Maryam Nawaz's video leak case of Judge Arshad Malik.

Judge Arshad Malik sentenced Nawaz Sharif in the Al-Azizia case. Then, Maryam Nawaz released a video against this judge in a press conference. There was also noise in the media. But today, things are settled for him. So, Nawaz Sharif refused to follow this video case.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has challenged the Election Commission's decision about holding intra-party elections again.

PTI challenged the Election Commission's decision to hold intra-party elections again in the Lahore High Court. It has been said in the petition that intra-party elections should be held on June 10 last year according to the law and constitution. The ECP passed an illegal order to hold intra-party elections again within 20 days. The order of the ECP is against the constitution. The court should nullify the order of ECP to hold intra-party elections again. And declare the intra-party election, held on June 10, 2022, as valid.

The Peshawar High Court admonished the Chief Secretary with a stern reprimand.

The election-related case was heard in Peshawar High Court today. Addressing the Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the court said, "If a political gathering occurs, you initiate a crackdown against them. Are there any restrictions on the political activities of PTI? If a political party intends to organise a rally, Section 144 is imposed. No other political parties face MPO-3 or any similar restrictions". The court resolved the petition upon receiving a written assurance of an equitable playing field from the Chief Secretary.

I am ready to sacrifice my life for Imran Khan. I will never leave him.

Former MNA Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Junaid Akbar Khan was taken away by Sahibabad police after getting bail from Deer Wadi. Despite this fascism, Junaid Akbar Khan said, "The Chitral police have come to pick me up in the bogus case. They might make me disappear or kill me on the way. I will give my life, but I will not leave Khan".

Fascism against PTI ticket holders is intensifying as the election approaches.

Rangers and police raided the house of former Secretary General of Punjab Ali Imtiaz Warraich of Tehreek-e-Insaf. They Jumped over his walls and entered the house. Punjab police officers and constables not only harassed the family but kept disabling the CCTV.

PML-N ticket holders are also travelling in government vehicles.

Individuals obtaining tickets for the PML-N are being sent in government vehicles. This form of egregious manipulation is unprecedented in Pakistan's history.
