The decision of the Election Commission suspended; Tehreek-e-Insaf will contest the election with the symbol of "bat".
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf filed a petition in the Peshawar High Court today against the biased decision of the Election Commission, which was immediately heard.
The court remarked during the hearing, "The party was expelled from the elections through a decree, questioning the legal basis for the decision". The court immediately suspended the decision of the Election Commission. After the verdict, Barrister Gauhar said in a media interview, "The judiciary thwarted the conspiracy, not only returning the "bat" sign but also reinstating the trust of 25 crore people in the judicial system. Despite facing challenges, we have consistently expressed our faith in the judiciary."
Cipher case against Imran Khan continues in Toshakhana style.
Today, 143 days have passed since the illegal imprisonment of Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Prime Minister Imran Khan. The cipher case against Imran Khan in Adiala Jail is also being conducted in the style of Judge Humayun Dilawar. On the one hand, there is a ban on reporting the case and on the other hand, Imran Khan is beng deprived of a fair trial.
Imran Khan addressed the objections and filed a fresh petition with the Supreme Court to overturn the disqualification.
Chairman Imran Khan approached the Supreme Court once again to suspend the decision of the trial court in the Toshakhana case. Overcoming objections from the registrar's office, the lawyers have refiled the appeal. If the appeal is granted, it could lead to the end of Imran Khan's disqualification.
Imran Khan's family continues to be threatened.
Chairman Imran Khan's sister Aleema Khan told the media after meeting Imran Khan in Adiala Jail today.
"Today, Imran Khan was very saddened by the death of uncle Javed Zaman. Shah Mehmood Qureshi also prayed in the court. We were informed that it would pose a risk to us to name Donald Lu and General Bajwa. If someone commits treason against the country, will we remain silent? To remain silent is treason against this country".
DC Rawalpindi openly defied the Supreme Court and rearrested Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi, former foreign minister and senior vice-chairman of PTI, was detained in Adiala Jail.
Four days ago, the Supreme Court granted bail to Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi in the cipher case and ordered their immediate release. However, the caretaker government rejected the decision of the Supreme Court and issued a notification to keep Shah Mahmood Qureshi under 3-MPO.
Equitable conditions for fair elections are yet to be established.
Tehreek-e-Insaf submitted a petition for contempt of court. Despite the court order, a level playing field is not available. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has filed a petition for contempt of court in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court bench headed by Acting Chief Justice Sardar Tariq Masood ordered the Election Commission to ensure a level playing field, which was completely ignored.
The second phase of pre-poll rigging has begun.
Supporters of Tehreek-e-Insaf candidates are being abducted, marking the commencement of the second phase of pre-poll irregularities orchestrated by the Election Commission and unconstitutional caretaker governments. Instances of supporters from various candidates being kidnapped and nomination papers being rejected have surfaced. In Lahore, Zulfiqar Khokhar, the recommender for PTI leader Nadeem Bara, was arrested by the police. Additionally, Zartaj Gul Wazir's proposer and supporter, both women, were apprehended as soon as the paper's confidentiality was initiated. Moonis Elahi expressed concern, stating, "Our proposers and seconders have been picked up from national and provincial constituencies."
Meanwhile, Salman Akram Raja, who was scheduled to review Mian Mehmood-ul-Rashid's papers, was barred by the police from accessing the returning officer's office.
Lahore High Court's gives a big order regarding nomination papers.
The High Court has ruled that the nomination papers cannot be dismissed solely on the grounds of the proposer and endorser being unable to appear for scrutiny due to unforeseen circumstances.
Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate was apprehended by the police immediately upon his return home.
Tehreek-e-Insaf's candidate from Arifwala (Pakpatan) and former MPA Naeem Ibrahim was arrested by FIA at Multan Airport on his return from abroad. Naeem Ibrahim is the MNA and MPA candidate in the recent election.
Tehreek-e-Insaf worker who was unlawfully detained for six months is released.
Lawyer leader Advocate Salman Shahid tweeted, "Our lady worker Rohina Khan, who has a 3-year-old daughter, was named in three cases. She was innocent but imprisoned for 181 days. She was arrested three times outside the prison, but she stood firm and bravely endured the difficulties. Alhamdulillah, she has been released today after six months with the efforts of Insaf Lawyers Forum and has reached home. Now, the number of imprisoned women has reduced to 10. Insha'Allah, they will be released soon.

Senior journalist Adnan Adil tweeted, "In 2023, there has been a staggering surge in electricity and gas prices, resulting in an additional burden of Rs. 1500 billion on consumers. The general populace has been burdened, seemingly to facilitate the indulgences of the privileged elite."
Price of dozen eggs reach new high.
According to the Institute of Statistics, the price of eggs per dozen has reached Rs. 420. Islamabad, Faisalabad and Peshawar have also seen a rise in prices.
