Today, 172 days have passed since the illegal imprisonment of founder chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf and former prime minister Imran Khan.
Many cases against Imran Khan are going on in Adiala Jail simultaneously. After the hearing of various cases today, Chairman Imran Khan's lawyer, Barrister Salman Safdar, said while talking to the media. Imran Khan mentioned that the jail and courtroom are extremely cold, reaching an unbearable level.

Chairman Imran Khan said while talking to journalists in Adiala Jail today. "I have not been contacted before, and there is no contact now. The deal remains unchanged: fair and transparent elections. Anyone involved in arson or attacks on May 9 should be apprehended using CCTV footage."
Imran Khan further said," The perpetrators of the Capitol Hill attack were apprehended through CCTV footage, which later mysteriously disappeared. We possess videos where Yasmin Rashid discourages workers from heading towards the Corps Commander House, instructing them to be prepared. If a candidate is caught, we'll replace them with another candidate. They fear the people. Our candidates cannot use my picture or write prisoner number 804. Those who left our party were told to display my picture. I've heard about the implementation of Section 144, enforced after my statement to kick off the election campaign on Sunday. Now, PTI won't receive permission for meetings and rallies. No one is attending Nawaz Sharif's gatherings. PTI slogans resonate in his meetings, while Nawaz Sharif, sitting at home, believes he'll be selected anyway, so no campaign is needed. Tehreek-e-Insaf is experiencing unprecedented events. Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi got permission for counselling in jail.
The case hearing in Adiala Jail under the Official Secrets Act involved only Shah Mehmood Qureshi and me, privy to the details. Imran Khan approached the rostrum, and Shah Mehmood Qureshi highlighted the challenge of meeting Khan Sahab in jail. The founder of PTI was encountered during the hearing itself.
Judge Abul Hasanat Muhammad Zulqarnain noted that there is a counselling period during the morning court session. He added that when Mr. Khan was called, he insisted on having lawyers and family present. The court granted permission for Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi to consult for half an hour before the hearing.
Hearing on cipher case in Adiala Jail.
The hearing of the cipher case against Chairman Imran Khan and Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi has been postponed till tomorrow. The lawyers completed the cross-examination of 4 prosecution witnesses. The case was heard by Judge Abul Hasanat Zulqarnain of the Official Secret Act Court in Adiala Jail.
NAB cases hearing adjourned without any proceedings.
The Tosha Khana and 190 million pounds references case hearing against Chairman Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi has been rescheduled to January 25 due to lawyer's unavailability. Witness statements in the Tosha Khana reference remain pending, and the formal charging process for the accused could not take place.
Decision reserved on petition against jail trial of NAB cases.
A hearing took place in the Islamabad High Court regarding the petition challenging the prison trial in the Tosha Khana and 190-million-pound case. Chairman Imran Khan's lawyer, Shoaib Shaheen, presented arguments, pointing out the haste in issuing the trial notification before filing the reference.
The federal government issued the notification on November 28, while the reference was filed on December 20. The Attorney General contended that NAB cases are being tried in open court, to which Shoaib Shaheen responded, "The trial is so open that one of our fellow lawyers is not allowed inside." Following the arguments, the court reserved its decision on the petitions.

Prosecution uses delaying tactics in Imran Khan's bail cases.
Chairman Imran Khan's lawyer, Intizar Hussain Panjutha, tweeted, "Once again, the prosecution employed delay tactics today, claiming unpreparedness after presenting bail in 13 Rawalpindi cases involving Imran Khan. They asserted that the police had concealed the investigation records. Failing to appear before the court, they were given a final opportunity. The court stated, 'Whether the record was compiled on Saturday or not, prepared or not, I will decide after hearing the arguments."
Lahore High Court issues notices on Salman Akram Raja's request.
The hearing on Salman Akram Raja's petition against declaring him as an independent candidate in the Lahore High Court was adjourned till January 25. The court has issued notices to the Election Commission and others for their response.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Qaisara Elahi, while giving an interview to Independent Urdu, cried over the plight of Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in jail. He said that during the hot summer, when Chaudhry Pervez Elahi was in Attock Jail, he was kept in a place like a death cell. When I met him in Islamabad, he told me that one night, a worm went into his ear. I screamed and, fortunately, there was a doctor in the next cell. He came and removed the worm from the ear. Even the doctor can testify to this. According to Qaisara Elahi, Parvez Elahi said that he was given a meal of thinly cooked zucchini in water. The jailer used to lie that he was kept very comfortably. The jailer did not install the cooler sent in the summer. Qaisara Elahi cried and said that a 76-year-old man was kept in such a condition. He was put in the death cell, Imran Khan was also in the next cell. She also said that Chaudhry Parvez Elahi is adamant. He says he stands with Imran Khan and Tehreek-e-Insaf. According to Qaisara Elahi, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain sent a message to her husband in the camp jail that if he held a press conference, he would be out of jail at night. Moonis Elahi will also be able to return Pakistan the very next day.”
Police brutality against Tehreek-e-Insaf candidates continues.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Hammad Azhar said in his tweet, "Three individuals responsible for arranging my father's gathering have been apprehended. Police station authorities claim that the directive to do so came from higher-ups, specifically the IG. The secretary at the police station asserted that a fabricated case has been filed against me, emphasizing that the actual motive behind it stems from organizing a corner meeting."

Ejaz Chaudhry was handed over to Rawalpindi Police after 8 months.
In the May 9 case against Ejaz Chaudhry, the court granted the transit remand request from Rawalpindi Police during the hearing. A petition for the transfer of 12 cases to Rawalpindi was also submitted.

Significant surge in the cost of chicken meat and eggs.
Chicken meat has seen a rise of Rs. 20 per kg, reaching Rs. 632. Concurrently, the cost of eggs has been steadily increasing, with a dozen eggs now priced at Rs. 414.
The price of vegetables increased by Rs.50 per kg.
In Quetta, vegetables have become unaffordable for the residents. Tomatoes are now priced at Rs. 180 per kg, leading to an escalation in the costs of peas, ginger, and garlic. The city is witnessing tomatoes being sold at Rs. 180 per kg, reflecting a Rs. 30 hike. Similarly, the prices of various other vegetables, such as okra, peas, ginger, and garlic, have also surged by 30 to 50 rupees.
