18th January 2024 News Headlines

A summary of today's important and breaking news regarding PTI and the country that the mainstream media of Pakistan will never show you.

"Prisoner number 804 should be written on the posters of the candidates", Imran Khan.

Today, 166 days have passed since the illegal imprisonment of founder chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf and former prime minister Imran Khan.

Imran Khan while talking to journalists in Adiala Jail said, "In the jail, the sole facility available is PTV, airing propaganda. Although I used to enjoy watching sports on TV, I stopped after the World Cup. My mornings begin with a 1.5-hour exercise routine, followed by my presence in the court. It's essential to display inmate number 804 on the posters of the candidates. I express gratitude to those responsible for my imprisonment and engage in prayers, including Tahajud. Exercise and reading books fill my days. I've read the Qur'an thrice, delved into its Tafseer, and selected verses suitable for children. Although I haven't written a book yet, I plan to do so now.

Imprisonment offers a chance for reflection and reading. During this time, I've also read Sirat-ul-Nabi (PBUH). Managing desires eliminates difficulties. The caretaker prime minister won't be taken seriously. Neutral parties forget that time doesn't wait and it's not a repeat of 2002. The situation in Pakistan resembles that of 1970, where only party tickets secured victories. The oppression faced serves as our election campaign. If the elections had occurred in October 2023, stability would prevail. Postponing the elections aims to crush PTI. Those not involved in corruption don’t need the support of the umpires. Nawaz Sharif attacked the Supreme Court. Even in cricket, Nawaz Sharif would only play with his own umpires. I don’t have any (favorite) judge. I regret Justice Ijaz ul Hasan's resignation as he was a reputable judge. Those desiring deteriorated relations with Iran are rejoicing today. It's not in our interest to spoil ties with Iran. BJP's unfavorable policy towards Pakistan should be defused rather than exaggerated".

Paramount and inviolable, the sovereignty, integrity and security of Pakistan are non-negotiable.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has consistently pioneered relationships built on mutual peace and respect, particularly with neighboring nations, without compromising national dignity, security, and integrity. The party stands firmly in support of its defense forces, ready to counter any form of external aggression to safeguard the interests of the nation."
