The Supreme Court took away the right to vote from millions of voters.
The Supreme Court, under the leadership of Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, added another darkest decision in the history of infamous decisions of the Supreme Court by taking away the democratic, constitutional right to vote for bat from millions of voters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf last night. After the decision of the Supreme Court, the candidates of Tehreek-e-Insaf will contest the election on independent and separate electoral symbols. People say that withdrawing the election symbol from a party with 80% popularity only on technical grounds is like strangling democracy. On this decision of the Supreme Court, all the democratic sections across the country expressed their deep disappointment. In an article published in Dawn newspaper, this action was characterized as depriving individuals of their fundamental democratic entitlement.
Today, 162 days have passed since the illegal imprisonment of Imran Khan for the true freedom of the nation.
The illegal imprisonment of founder chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf and former prime minister Imran Khan started on August 5, 2023, from Attock Jail.
Then, he was shifted to Adiala Jail, where various cases were filed against him day and night. The law is being violated. His sole offence is remaining loyal to his nation and advocating for genuine freedom.
Murad Saeed's hopeful message to the nation.
Murad Saeed said in the message, "Similar to your sentiments, we too experienced a profound sense of emotion on the night of April 9. Uncertain of the nation's collective thoughts, we anticipated a response akin to what we had heard in the past. The very scenes televised were unfolding right before our eyes. Witnessing him leave the Prime Minister's House empty-handed left us disheartened, rendering us incapable of looking him in the eye. What transpired then? Did Imran Khan face defeat on April 9, or was it, in fact, his most significant triumph? You penned the text celebrating Imran Khan's victory. Recall, that we placed our trust in Allah during this struggle. Remaining steadfast in our faith, we now confront it with the legacy of our forefathers embedded in our hearts. We shall not capitulate."
The Supreme Court's ruling earns global humiliation.
Taking away the "bat" symbol from Tehreek-e-Insaf has become a joke all over the world. Al Jazeera called it pre-poll rigging, while Bloomberg and other international newspapers called it to exclude Tehreek-e-Insaf from the election. Every democratic power, local and global, has been shocked by the decision of the Supreme Court.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has released a portal to know the election marks of its candidates.
After the dark decision of the Supreme Court, the social media team of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf created a portal for information on the election marks received by its candidates from each constituency of the national and provincial assemblies. Now, the people will be able to write the names of their respective constituencies and know the candidate and election symbol of Tehreek-e-Insaf. This portal is the website of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (Insaf.pk) and can be easily searched. The public is requested to inform their relatives and friends about this portal so that they can get the awareness of the electoral symbol of Tehreek-e-Insaf candidates.
Even after snatching the "bat" symbol, Imran Khan continues to evoke fear in his opponents.
The fear and apprehension persist. The appointed returning officers, designated by the Supreme Court of Pakistan, have initiated the detention of nominated candidates from Tehreek-e-Insaf. Salem Swati from Mansehra, for instance, has been apprehended under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO). The boundaries of pre-election manipulation have been surpassed, marking this as perhaps the most heavily rigged election in the nation's history.
The Election Commission persisted and assigned separate marks to the same candidate from the provincial and national assembly.
Rehana Dar, mother of the Dar brothers from Sialkot, tweeted, "The apprehension of facing defeat has infiltrated the minds of our opponents. Distinct election symbols were allocated for my National Assembly and Provincial Assembly elections, possibly aimed at perplexing the voters. I am contesting this decision and will promptly update you once the designation is confirmed. This is indeed a challenging struggle, and, Insha'Allah, we will face it united."
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's enthusiastic rally in Karachi.
Leader of Tehreek-e-Insaf Sher Afzal Marwat arrived at the rally in Karachi, where workers welcomed him with slogans. The crowd voiced slogans in support of Imran Khan, demonstrating through their substantial presence in the rally that any plot against him would only bolster his chances of winning the election. Their unwavering support for Imran Khan remains unyielding.
After Karachi, people also came out in favour of Imran Khan in Mansehra.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf conducted a worker's convention in Mansehra today. The massive turnout with enthusiastic participants chanting slogans. The substantial attendance sent a clear message to those who took away the party's symbol, "bat", affirming that we continue to stand firmly with Imran Khan.
The unchecked influence of the mafia has led to a substantial rise in LPG prices.
The mafia autonomously raised the LPG price by Rs. 40 to Rs. 60 per kg. Although OGRA had set the official LPG price at Rs. 256, it is being sold in the market at Rs. 310 to Rs. 320 per kg. The domestic cylinder, instead of costing Rs. 3,026, is now being retailed between Rs 3,550 and Rs. 3,570. Dealers argue that if we acquire LPG at a higher cost, it is impractical to sell it at a lower price.
Persistent increase in inflation.
The affordable Sunday markets in Islamabad and Peshawar are no longer able to offer relief to the citizens as the prices of vegetables, fruits, and eggs have escalated.
