13th December 2023 News Headlines

A summary of today's important and breaking news regarding PTI and the country that the mainstream media of Pakistan will never show you.

Fake news was spread about Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi being indicted in the cipher case.

Imran Khan's lawyer, Salman Safdar, refuted the news of an indictment against Imran Khan. Earlier reports suggested that Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi faced charges in the cipher case. Speaking before the judge, Imran Khan asserted, "My only fault was exposing both domestic and foreign establishments. Add that to my list of 'crimes.' Despite our own government being toppled, we find ourselves accused. How can the one whose government fell be the accused?"

Supreme Court of Pakistan allows the military trial of civilians.

Today, a six-member bench of the Supreme Court, with a majority of five judges, declared military courts legal. Aitzaz Ahsan, Salman Akram Raja, and Latif Khosa raised objections to the bench's head, Justice Sardar Tariq. In response, Justice Tariq Masood halted Salman Akram Raja from presenting his arguments.

Notably, the bench that had previously declared the trial of civilians in military courts as illegal was also composed of five members. Today's decision, which suspended that previous ruling and reinstated the military courts, also came from a five-member majority. This development stands as one of the most controversial decisions in the history of the judiciary.

The Ridiculous Case of contempt of Election Commission against Imran Khan was heard in Adiala Jail.

The contempt of the Election Commission case hearing at Adiala Jail faced a delay as the indictment proceedings for Imran Khan and Fawad Chaudhry were postponed until December 19. The proceedings were hindered due to the Supreme Court's engagement with lawyer Shoaib Shaheen. The hearing is now scheduled for December 19.

Aleema Khan talked to the media outside the jail.

Aleema Khan speaking to the media outside the jail after the hearing of today's cipher case said that "They are angry that the secret letter that Donald Lou sent to General Bajwa, was read by Imran Khan. We don't understand whether we are in our own country or in a foreign country. We are being chased all the time. You can put us in jail. We are not afraid."

Health card program shut down for the public.

The revolutionary facility of health card started by Imran Khan for the public has been shut down by the PDM and now expired caretaker government. According to the sources, instructions were issued to all hospitals to discontinue the Sehat Sahulat Program. State Life Insurance also directed to stop all operations regarding sehat card. Only patients admitted before December 15th will be provided treatment under the sehat card program. However, for Islamabad, Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan this facility has completely been abolished.

Tehreek-e-Insaf declared the acquittal of the fugitive and criminal Nawaz Sharif as the last nail in the coffin of justice.

According to PTI, the convicted criminal who was declared a fugitive by the courts has been acquitted as per the infamous London Plan.

Those who brought him cannot deny the fact that the stolen wealth of the nation and the expensive properties bought from them still exist and Nawaz Sharif still needs to present a money trail for them. If the "London Plan" fails, then these criminals will be brought into the grip of the law again. The people who brought back this criminal should also put him in the field and give him the courage to contest the elections. The people will answer this acquittal on February 8, 2024, through the power of their votes. Spokesperson Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf

Tehreek-e-Insaf strongly condemns the terrorist attack in Dera Ismail Khan.

Tehreek-e-Insaf expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in Dera Ismail Khan and prayed for the speedy and complete recovery of the injured. Incidents of this nature before the elections are a cause of concern and a question mark on the performance of the federal and provincial governments who have been in charge for a long time.

Bad news for Karachi's electricity consumers

The current caretaker government, whose only mandate was to hold elections, has approved increasing the cost of electricity for the people of Karachi.

Tehreek-e-Insaf's response to the Supreme Court's decision regarding the trial of civilians in military courts.

The Supreme Court's decision on the trial of civilians in military courts is no less than a "judicial coup" against the constitution and is an attack on basic human rights.

In any civilized democratic society of the world, there is no sign of trials of civilians in military courts, even in our constitution there is no scope for trials of civilians in military courts. A separate concern is the remarks made by some members of the bench during the hearing of the case. This is a systematic attack on human rights in the country through military trials by naming citizens in false and fabricated cases. This will be repelled with the help of the constitution and civil society. Tehreek-e-Insaf

Imran Khan's message on ending the special status of occupied Jammu and Kashmir by the Modi government.

The Indian Supreme Court's decision is a violation of the UN resolutions and the long-standing promise of the people of Kashmir to self-determination. Tehreek-e-Insaf gives full diplomatic moral and political support to its Kashmiri brothers. The ruling group imposed on the country has neglected the Kashmir issue and sold the sacrifices of Kashmiris. Tehreek-e-Insaf will wholeheartedly support the unprecedented struggle for freedom of the oppressed Kashmiris.

Imran Khan's bail application was rejected in Toshakhana NAB case.

With the prospect of Imran Khan's bail in the Al-Qadir Trust case, the bail application in the Toshakhana NAB case was dismissed so that Imran Khan could not be released. As per the wishes of Super Ladla, Imran Khan is intended to be kept in jail by hook or by crook before the election. That is why Imran Khan's bail application was not approved despite NAB's case being the weakest.
