A summary of today's important and breaking news regarding PTI and the country that the mainstream media of Pakistan will never show you.
- Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Prime Minister Imran Khan have been illegally imprisoned for 67 days, Imran Khan is being deprived of justice by the courts. The Cipher bail case was heard today in Islamabad High Court under Chief Justice Aamer Farooq. Imran Khan's lawyer, Barrister Salman Safdar argued, "Secret Act applies only to the Armed Forces, without understanding this law, the case against the former Prime Minister and Foreign Minister has been made. It is written in the FIR that the cipher is to be recovered from Imran Khan, if Imran Khan had the cipher then how did Shahbaz Sharif call the meeting of the Security Council Committee after taking the oath? A copy of the cipher has been sent to the Supreme Court and Speaker National Assembly. A demarche was also sent to the ambassador, but these things were not mentioned in the FIR, this case is only a political case". Despite these strong arguments of Barrister Salman Safdar, the court adjourned the hearing till Monday.
- Chairman Imran Khan's message to the people of Pakistan, “When I was illegally incarcerated in Attock Jail, the first few days were particularly challenging. I wasn’t provided a bed and had to sleep on the floor and had insects and mosquitoes all over me. But with time I have adjusted well to the prison conditions. Let it be known that there is a difference of day and night between the Imran Khan of today and the Imran Khan who was imprisoned on August 5th. Today I am spiritually, mentally and physically, stronger and fitter than ever before. During my time in prison, I have had the opportunity to study and research the Holy Quran in-depth, along with other books which have strengthened my faith. I was also able to introspect the last few years of my political life. Regardless of what prison they keep me in, whatever conditions they impose upon me, I will not back down even an inch from the quest of Haqeeqi Azadi, for the upholding of the rule of law and the Constitution of Pakistan, at the core of which is free and fair elections. To those suggesting that I leave the country, know that I will live and die with Pakistan, and I will not leave my land to go anywhere. As far as the Cipher case is concerned, this bogus case is designed to protect former Army Chief General Bajwa and Donald Lu. I was the elected Prime Minister of the country. Treason was committed against me and my govt by General Bajwa, instead of investigating the foreign conspiracy in orchestrating a regime change, a case has been filed against me for informing the people of Pakistan, the real protectors of this country, about this treason. If there’s one thing that bothers & pains me, is the suffering of my workers who have been illegally imprisoned, especially our women workers who have been in captivity for months, by a few people who abuse their power to satisfy their egos. I appeal to the judiciary to provide justice and order the immediate release of our workers. Finally, Do not give up. This time of trial will end because Allah says that "with every difficulty there is ease". Keep raising your voice against this unelected predatory group and their facilitators at every forum and keep demanding a fair and transparent election in the country. I am predicting that on whatever day the election is held, the people of Pakistan will come out in huge numbers to vote for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and defeat all these parties combined. No matter how much these people cheat, their only destiny is defeat.
- Chairman Imran Khan's cases were heard in the Anti-Terrorism Court today, Imran Khan's lawyers asked the court to order the jail authorities to produce Imran Khan in court. Even when Imran Khan was attacked, he was called to appear, why is he not being called now? On which the court called for arguments from the prosecution and adjourned the hearing.
- Chairman Imran Khan's lawyer Naeem Haider Panjutha said in his tweet "Imran Khan should not be arrested by NAB in the Tosha Khana and Al Qadir Trust case, orders should be given to stop the arrest. A hearing was held on the application, in which the court removed the objections on the application and now it can be fixed for hearing."
- A hearing was held on NAB's request to prevent the arrest of Chairman Imran Khan's wife Bushra Begum. The lawyers argued that a non-political woman was being harassed. The court sought a response from NAB, on which NAB said that we do not seek the arrest of Bushra Bibi, after which the court disposed off the bail applications.
