Today, 160 days have passed since the illegal imprisonment of founder chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf and former prime minister Imran Khan. Speaking to journalists from Adiala Jail today, Imran Khan said, "I have been given a message that if you listen to us, all the cases will be waived. Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Asif Zardari, and Shehbaz Sharif's corruption of billions of rupees was forgiven. They want to tell us that they can dry clean anyone whenever they want. 200 cases have been filed against me. Which has never happened against anyone in the history of the country? Tehreek-e-Insaf has announced its candidates.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has disclosed the names of its candidates for the National Assembly in the upcoming 2024 elections. The comprehensive list of National Assembly candidates has been published on the official Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf website [insaf.pk] following consultations with Founder Chairman Imran Khan and Acting Chairman Gohar Khan.

The hearing of the "bat" symbol case in the Supreme Court has been adjourned till tomorrow.

The Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing in the "bat" sign return case until 10 o'clock tomorrow. The arguments will be presented by PTI's lawyers. The Election Commission's lawyers have concluded their arguments today, including remarks from Akbar S. Babar's lawyer. Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, during the proceedings, inquired, "Are officials in other political parties elected unopposed?" Peshawar High Court issued notice to Election Commission for contempt of court.

The hearing of Imran Khan's disqualification case has been postponed indefinitely.

Hearing for Imran Khan's disqualification removal in the Tosha Khana case was postponed indefinitely without any action taken. The careless attitude of the court towards such an important case is disappointing.

The cipher case hearing was adjourned till January 15.

After the order of the Islamabad High Court, the trial of the cipher case started afresh in Adiala Jail today. Judge Zulqarnain Abul Hasnat of the special court summoned five witnesses to record their statements on the next hearing and adjourned the hearing till January 15. According to the court order, it will be necessary to conduct an open trial of the cipher case.

Tosha Khana reference case hearing adjourned till tomorrow.

The Adiala Jail hearing today regarding the Tosha Khana reference case involving Chairman Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Begum, was postponed till tomorrow without any proceedings. The court was informed that the lawyer, Sardar Latif Khosa, is unavailable today, necessitating the adjournment of the hearing to tomorrow. The court accordingly rescheduled the proceedings for tomorrow.

Application filed in Lahore High Court against rejection of nomination papers of Imran Khan.

An application was filed in the High Court regarding the rejection of Imran Khan's nomination papers from Lahore and Mianwali. The registrar's office initially raised objections to the appeals, citing the absence of stamp papers and a certified copy of the appeal. Subsequently, the legal team addressed these objections by removing them, submitting a fresh application, and urgently requesting a hearing for today.

The demand for Tehreek-e-Insaf tickets causes the website to experience slowdowns.

Before the upcoming general elections, numerous individuals who secured tickets from Tehreek-e-Insaf have emerged nationwide. The party unveiled the ticket releases on its website late last night. However, a substantial influx of visitors to the website caused a slowdown. This phenomenon is indicative of Tehreek-e-Insaf's potential for a decisive victory on February 8.

Significant surge in sugar prices within a span of two days.

Lahore, over a span of two days, the cost of sugar rose by 10 rupees. As per information from the market, the ex-mill price of sugar has now escalated to Rs. 140 per kg. According to a national newspaper report, wholesale sugar is stated to be at Rs. 142 per kg, as mentioned by sugar dealers.

Orange Line Metro train fare likely to increase.

Initiatives are underway to raise the fare of the Orange Line metro train operating in Lahore, the provincial capital. Under the caretaker Punjab government's administration, a plan was devised to elevate the cost of affordable rides. Plans are now in motion to once again raise the fare for the Orange Line train. The Mass Transit Authority has formally approached the Punjab government seeking approval for a fare increase ranging from five to ten rupees.
