- Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Prime Minister Imran Khan's unlawful detention has been twenty-two days now. Despite continuous delays in courts hearings and deprived of basic rights, Imran Khan's determination remains high. According to Imran Khan's lawyers, both sides' arguments have been completed. The decision now lies with Chief Justice Aamer Farooq to lift the sentence.
- Lahore Police interrogated Imran Khan in Attock Jail regarding the unlawful charges against him on the May 9th events. Chairman Imran Khan responded, "I was in jail myself, how could I incite anyone through a phone call? People went to protest at different places of their own will." The police had no response to this. The Anti-Terrorism Court has canceled Imran Khan's bail due to non-compliance.
- Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan has submitted a request in the Supreme Court against the NAB Amendments under which the NRO-2 was given. In the previous hearing, Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial ordered the presentation of final evidence in the next hearing. “I want to conclude this case before my retirement”, he said. The Supreme Court has scheduled the hearing for August 29.
- The case of granting bail to unlawfully detained women prisoners has been in the High Court for more than a hundred days. It was canceled yesterday at the last moment. The bench had already been broken six times before this. The only crime of women prisoners is supporting Imran Khan.
- Human rights violations continue even with ordinary prisoners in jails. Eight thousand inmates are held in places meant for three thousand five hundred. Prisoners are sleeping in the washrooms; the jails are overcrowded with prisoners. Cells that are meant to cater for 3 people currently host 15 in them. Thus, setting an example of the worst form of basic human rights violations.
- Shaukat Yousafzai, a leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, mentioned in a tweet, “According to my 11-year-old daughter Zainab's test and ultrasound reports, one of her kidneys has failed, and according to doctors, there is an urgent need to save the other [kidney]. I have been hiding for one and a half months, which has prevented her from receiving proper treatment."
- Even the non-political relatives of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders are facing harassment. Ali Awan and Shahzad Akbar's brothers have returned home after 52 days. Both of them were asked to hold a press conference and give false testimony against Chairman Imran Khan. Zahoor Mashwani, the non-political brother of Azhar Mashwani, is still missing.
- Ali Aijaz Battar, Imran Khan's lawyer, tweeted, "Today, in the afternoon, the police came outside Zaman Park. The security staff asked if everything was fine. But it turns out there's an order from above to keep an eye out; people shouldn't come to Zaman Park to release the balloons; it has now come down to the arrests of the balloons.
- PTI leader Farrukh Habib criticized the government, saying, "Imran Khan was removed, and now the biggest loss of Regime Change is being borne by the Pakistani people in the form of inflation and unemployment. Under Imran Khan's rule, flour was Rs. 55 per kg. Under Shehbaz's rule, it increased by Rs. 105 per kg and is now Rs. 160 per kg. Under Imran Khan's rule, sugar was Rs. 70 per kg. Under Shehbaz's rule, it increased by Rs. 100 per kg. And is now Rs. 170 per kg. Due to increasing inflation and electricity bills, the traders' association has announced nationwide protests on Tuesday, August 29th and a transportation strike from Karachi to Khyber on Saturday, September 2nd.
- Throughout the country today, as an expression of their love for their leader, the people released PTI balloons in the air. Despite the police crackdown in various cities and the confiscation of cylinders used to fill air in the balloons, the people have shown their affection in every city, filling the sky with PTI's flags and banners.
