3rd January 2024 News Headlines

A summary of today's important and breaking news regarding PTI and the country that the mainstream media of Pakistan will never show you.

The deterioration of Pakistan's judicial system reaches a distressing low as the iddat case concludes with a nauseating decision.

Today, 182 days have passed since the illegal imprisonment of Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Imran Khan faces opponents displaying weakness and unethical conduct, evident in today's Iddat case. Both Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, received a 7-year jail sentence and a fine of five lakh rupees in the Nikah case. Responding to the verdict, Bushra Bibi expressed, "Allah has already guided us in the Holy Qur'an regarding Iddat. This is the decision of Iblees. It's a battle of honour and dishonour." Despite swearing truthfulness on the Holy Quran, their testimony was not accepted.

"I will never engage in any deal, and I am committed to this stance. No dealings in the past, and none in the future," affirms Imran Khan

Chairman Imran Khan said while talking to journalists in Adiala Jail today.

"In NAB's Toshakhana reference, a 14-year prison sentence is unprecedented. The 190 million pounds case marks the first against a Trust’s trustee. Bushra Bibi, a trustee of Al-Qadir Trust, not benefiting financially. The Cipher case punished me for exposing conspirators. On May 9, over 200 cases were filed, a historic first. Fugitive’s cases were swiftly cleared. With the announcement of the election date PTI leadership was dismantled. We are not allowed to campaign. They seek a deal but I won't engage in any deals, even in jail, I'll resist.

Addressing journalists, he messaged the Army Chief to consider the nation's 25 crore people, urging reflection on the country's future. Warning of economic destruction, he emphasized stable democracy's role.

To workers, he said, "Stay calm, even if it takes a thousand years, I'll endure. No deal; if any, for Pakistan's interest. Vote on February 8, support your candidate, continue the struggle."

Hearing on Imran Khan's interim bail applications.

In the Anti-Terrorism Court Lahore, there were two cases related to violence against the police during the Zaman Park police operation. The court conducted a hearing on Chairman Imran Khan's interim bail application. Salman Safdar, the lawyer, stated, "Imran Khan has consistently attended court proceedings. Post the Tosha Khana arrest, bails were revoked due to non-compliance. The PTI founder is willing to participate from Adiala Jail. If preferable, these applications can be reviewed post the election. I am presenting arguments on two applications today. Kindly schedule the session for 10:30." Judge Arshad Javed presided over the Anti-Terrorism Court hearing on the bail application.

Courts, known to take generations to conclude a case, are now delivering swift verdicts against Imran Khan within hours.

Following the indictment in the Iddat case, the trial concluded within a remarkable span of 12 hours on the first day and 14 hours on the second day, totaling 26 hours of hearing in just two days. It stands as a singular event in judicial history, unprecedented and unheard of. Typically, the actual trial commences after the charges are filed. The intention behind Imran Khan's punishment was to influence public opinion against him, but the determination of the people got stronger after these punishments.

President of Tehreek-e-Insaf Lahore arrested.

The police apprehended Jameel Asghar Bhatti, President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Lahore. Despite facing challenges, Jameel Asghar Bhatti was leading an effective election campaign in Lahore.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf strongly condemns the court's disgraceful decision in the unfounded, absurd, and baseless case against its founder, Chairman Imran Khan.

The Tehreek-e-Insaf spokesperson said, "Judge Qudratullah's verdict is profoundly shameful, violating Shariah orders and constituting a grave attack on the Quranic teachings, legal norms, and family laws. His decision unveils the state's facade of honour, modesty, and civility, exposing the internal decay to the world. Penning a dark judgement in the most absurd, nonsensical, and non-transparent trial in history, Judge Qudratullah brings shame to the entire justice system. The state's intrusion into the sanctity of private homes demonstrates its ignorance of privacy, intervening unlawfully, un-Sharia, un-Islamic, and unethical in personal matters, especially marriages and divorces.

Following absurd cases like Cipher and Tosha Khana, the verdict on Nikah in Iddat seeks to push a sinister agenda of political revenge. Imran Khan who is facing severe fascism, blatant injustice, and lawlessness, refuses to submit to tyrants. The courageous leader, enduring oppression with bravery, will witness the people's retaliation on February 8 through their votes for every injustice committed against them".
