Syed Shibli Faraz is a senior politician, senator, member of PTI from KPK since 2015 and the current Leader of Opposition and Head of PTI in the Senate House. The son of the famous Urdu poet Ahmad Faraz, Shibli Faraz completed his Bachelor of Laws in the Peshawar Law College and recived a degree in International relations at the University of the Andes in Colombia. He began his career in finances in London as well as is a former pilot. He entered politics in 2015 as a member of PTI and has served as a member of the Senate consecutively since March 12, 2015. Upon taking office as Prime Minister, Imran Khan appointed Shibli Faraz as the Leader of the House for the Senate. He served this position until 2020, when he switched to the role of Minister for Information & Broadcasting until 2021 and served as Minister for Science & Technology from 2021 to 2022 under Imran Khan's government

He is a senior member of PTI and remarkably saved Imran Khan's helicopter from crashing in September 2022 after the helicopter pilot fell ill. Faraz took over the helicopter and succesfully landed the helicopter, saving the lives of several people including Imran Khan. He was chosen by PTI and Imran Khan to be the Leader of Opposition in the Senate. He also heads the PTI as a party in the Senate amid the struggle for justice.
