To strive for justice is a sacred duty, and I am ready to lay down my life for the genuine freedom of my nation.
At this moment, Pakistan is being run solely on the basis of “Asim Law”. Here, verdicts are pre-written and merely read out. Like the baseless decisions and sentences of the past three years, the Toshakhana 2 verdict is nothing new for me. This ruling, too, was delivered in haste, without any evidence and without fulfilling legal requirements. Neither we nor our lawyers were even given the opportunity to be heard.
By keeping me and my wife in continuous solitary confinement, we are being subjected to severe mental torture. We are barred from books, television, and meetings. While every other prisoner in jail is allowed to watch TV, even this basic right has been denied to me and Bushra Bibi. The books sent by my family are confiscated by jail authorities, and we are kept in solitary confinement for weeks at a time. This treatment is inhumane, yet all this oppression and brutality cannot weaken my resolve.
It is not part of our traditions to oppress women and children. In our religion, even during war, women are spared, yet here, women are being persecuted merely because of political vendetta. I am deeply saddened and distressed by the mistreatment and brutality faced by my sisters and other women outside Adiala Jail. The treatment meted out to Bushra Bibi, Dr. Yasmin, Mahrang Baloch, and other women stands in clear violation of Islamic traditions and moral values. My wife, Bushra Bibi, has been placed in solitary confinement purely out of personal vendetta against me, despite having no involvement in politics. She is a homemaker.
The army is mine and belongs to the people of Pakistan. When I criticize Asim Munir, it is criticism of an individual, just as past dictators were criticized. Asim Munir did not come into power through a public referendum or a popular vote. Whatever is happening to me in jail is being carried out on the instructions of a colonel acting under Asim Munir’s orders.
The rule of law in Pakistan has been severely undermined. Just as in 2007, PCO judges who sided with a dictator and tarnished the sanctity of the judiciary earned no respect, while those who resisted were hailed as national heroes. Similarly, today, the judges who are resisting this system are our heroes, while those who are acting as puppets, obediently following orders, lack conscience and are no different from the PCO judges of the Musharraf era.
For the struggle to restore the rule of law and uphold the Constitution, it is essential for the Insaf Lawyers Forum and the broader legal fraternity to step forward decisively. Only a just legal system can safeguard the people; without it, neither economic progress nor moral development is possible.
I have full confidence in Salman Safdar and his team and have instructed them to file an appeal against these bogus decisions in the Islamabad High Court.
I have sent a message to Sohail Afridi to prepare for a street movement. The entire nation must rise for their rights.

جدوجہد عبادت ہے اور حقیقی آزادی کی جدوجہد کے لیے میں شہادت کے لیے بھی تیار ہوں!
اس وقت پاکستان صرف “عاصم لأ” پر چل رہا ہے۔ یہاں صرف لکھے لکھائے فیصلے پڑھ کر سنائے جا رہے ہیں۔ پچھلے تین سال کے بےبنیاد فیصلوں اور سزاؤں کی طرح توشہ خانہ 2 کا فیصلہ بھی میرے لیے کوئی نئی بات نہیں۔ یہ فیصلہ بھی جج نے بغیر کسی ثبوت اور قانونی تقاضے پورے کیے بغیر ہی جلدبازی میں سنا دیا- ہمیں یا ہمارے وکلأ تک کو نہیں سنا گیا-
مجھے اور میری اہلیہ کو مسلسل قید تنہائی میں رکھ کر ذہنی اذیت کا نشانہ بنایا جا رہا ہے۔ ہماری کتابوں، ٹی وی اور ملاقات سب پر پابندی ہے۔ جیل میں ہر قیدی ٹی وی دیکھ سکتا ہے لیکن مجھ پر اور بشریٰ بی بی پر ٹی وی دیکھنے تک کی بھی پابندی لگا دی گئی ہے۔ میرے خاندان کی جانب سے جو کتابیں بھیجی جاتی ہیں وہ جیل حکام کی طرف سے روک لی جاتی ہیں۔ ہمیں کئی کئی ہفتے مسلسل قید تنہائی میں رکھا جاتا ہے، یہ غیر انسانی سلوک ہے لیکن یہ سب ظلم و بربریت مجھے میرے عزم سے پیچھے نہیں ہٹا سکتا۔
ہماری روایات نہیں کہ عورتوں اور بچوں پر ظلم کیا جائے۔ ہمارے دین میں تو دوران جنگ بھی خواتین کو بخش دیا جاتا ہے مگر یہاں محض سیاسی اختلاف پر خواتین پر ظلم ڈھائے جا رہے ہیں۔ میری بہنوں اور دیگر خواتین کے ساتھ اڈیالہ جیل کے باہر جو بدسلوکی اور ظلم ہو رہا ہے اس پر مجھے شدید دکھ اور افسوس ہے۔ یہ جو سلوک بشرٰی بی بی، ڈاکٹر یاسمین، ماہرنگ بلوچ اور دیگر خواتین کے ساتھ کیا جا رہا ہے، وہ اسلامی روایات اور اخلاقیات کے برعکس ہے۔ میری اہلیہ بشریٰ بی بی کو صرف مجھ سے بغض میں قید تنہائی میں ڈالا ہوا ہے حالانکہ ان کا تو سیاست سے کوئی تعلق بھی نہیں تھا۔ وہ ایک گھریلو خاتون ہیں۔
فوج میری ہے اور پاکستان قوم کی ہے- جب میں عاصم منیر پر تنقید کرتا ہوں تو وہ ایک شخص پر تنقید ہے، جیسے ماضی کے ڈکٹیٹرز پر بھی ہوتی آئی ہے۔ عاصم منیر نہ تو کسی عوامی ریفرنڈم کے تحت ملک پر بیٹھا ہے، نہ عوامی ووٹ کے ذریعے آیا ہے۔ جیل میں میرے ساتھ جو کچھ بھی ہو رہا ہے، ایک کرنل کے کہنے پر ہو رہا ہے جو عاصم منیر کے احکامات مانتا ہے۔
پاکستان میں قانون کی بالادستی کا جنازہ اٹھ چکا ہے۔ 2007 میں جیسے پی سی او ججز نے ڈکٹیٹر کا ساتھ دے کر عدلیہ کا تقدس پامال کیا ان کی کوئی عزت نہیں، اور جنھوں نے ڈکٹیٹر کے خلاف مزاحمت کی وہ قوم کے ہیرو تھے۔ ایسے ہی آج کل جو ججز اس نظام کے خلاف مزاحمت کر رہے ہیں وہ ہمارے ہیروز ہیں۔ جو جج کٹھ پتلی بن کر ان کے اشاروں پر ناچ رہے ہیں وہ بے ضمیر ہیں اور مشرف دور کے پی سی او ججز کے ہی برابر ہیں۔
قانون کی بالادستی اور آئین کی بحالی کی جدوجہد کے لیے انصاف لائرز فارم اور وکلأ کا فرنٹ فٹ پر آنا ناگزیر ہے۔ انصاف کا نظام ہی عوام کو تحفظ دے سکتا ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ نہ کوئی معاشی ترقی ممکن ہے نہ ہی اخلاقی۔
مجھے سلمان صفدر اور ان کی ٹیم پر اعتماد ہے اور میں نے انہیں ہدایت کی ہے کہ بوگس فیصلوں کے
خلاف اسلام آباد ہائی کورٹ میں اپیل کریں۔
سہیل آفریدی کو پیغام دیتا ہوں کہ سٹریٹ موومنٹ کی تیاری پکڑیں۔ پوری قوم کو اپنے حقوق کے لیے اٹھنا ہو گا-
