Chairman Imran Khan’s Lawyer Naeem Haider Panjutha’s Message about Imran Khan’s Arrest:
We have tried our best to visit Mr. Imran Khan in Attock jail. We have also contacted the Superintendent of Attock Prison, and approached the Additional Home Secretary and we are asking that they give us permission to visit Imran Khan. But we have not yet received any response from either party. And we have requested that we be allowed to get the Power of Attorney signed by Mr. Khan, as we have to submit multiple applications (on his behalf).
We have to file petitions to challenge different orders, and we will also be filling a petition to challenge today’s verdict on the Toshakhana case. But up until now, we have not been granted the permission to meet him. So, therefore, we just had this request to get the Power of Attorney (signed) and second, we want to confirm that he is doing well and inquire about)whether he has been given his meals, (if he needs fresh) clothes and other essentials, and that is why we wanted to visit him. But we have not been given a green signal yet.
I once again request them to please let us visit him. It is our legal right to be allowed to meet him and to get the Power of Attorney and other related documents signed by him.
