Former Justice Wajihuddin Ahmed on Monday announced to join Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI).
Talking to media Former Justice said that he has several proposals but he decided to join PTI because it has an inspiring manifesto. He said that he is not willing to hold any position in the party but to serve for the country. Chairman of PTI Imran Khan said that the time will prove that Justice Wajih’s decision was correct. Profile: Justice (R) Wajihuddin Ahmed (born December 1, 1938; Delhi) is a former member of Pakistan's judiciary. He served as the Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court and then, as a judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He gained more honor and respect when he resigned from the Supreme Court of Pakistan instead of taking oath of the office according to Gen. Pervez Musharraf's Provisional Constitutional Order (PCO). He has also been nominated by the lawyers community as a presidential candidate against Pervez Musharraf in 2007 elections in Pakistan. It is said that he could have become the Chief Justice of Pakistan had he not resigned against PCO.
