The Nation has spoken! In some places resoundingly in favor of change and Imran. In others with qualified support. In some, ousting the old guard. Some barely scraping through!

The sentiment is clear. PTI from 70 lac votes in 2013 to 167 lacs in 2018, shows the massive shift in preferences. This despite the 10 years of PMLN in power in Punjab and PPP in Sind.

Karachi, the urbanest of our population centers, politically very astute, also voted for massive change, dumping its traditional support for MQM or its morphed entities like the PSP.

Locals used to have doubts/reservations about PTI Karachi but seeing the respect our young leaders are receiving we can proudly say that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has clearly changed the political landscape of the country, especially of Karachi.

The recent hooplah over PTI ticket allocation to "electables" has set Pakistan abuzz.

Many have criticised his "electables" electoral strategy and there's a rift amongst his own people on specific ticket allocations.

These are both strategic and tactical questions.

Strategic in questioning this approach of using "electables" as a winnable electoral strategy vs the "Bhutto Khumba" strategy.

Tactical, in questioning specific ticket allocations.

Who is Imran Khan and what does he actually want ?

I see a sixty five year old man, addressing to a large crowd. The crowd in thousands, standing shoulder to shoulder in blazing heat, chanting slogans, clapping and listening to him intently. The headlines moving on the red bar at the bottom of the screen call him Imran Khan.

Who is Imran Khan I ask myself and what does he want?
