PTI Press Release - Core Committee Meeting | Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf

PTI Press Release –Illegal, unconstitutional, cruel and inhuman treatment of Chairman Imran Khan

  • Strongly condemn the illegal, unconstitutional, cruel, and inhuman treatment meted out to Chairman Imran Khan, during his imprisonment in jail.
  • Strongly condemned the ongoing action by Kangaroo Courts on false and fake cases against imprisoned Chairman Imran Khan, who is a prisoner of conscience.
  • In the meeting, the core committee fully expressed lack of confidence in the judiciary in view of the role of judges at different levels in providing justice.
  • The conduct of Tosha Khana Judge Humayun Dilawar and Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Amir Farooq and Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain, who heard the cipher case, is very biased and clearly against justice and fairness.
  • Chairman Imran Khan's cases were handed over to the judges, who have ignored the law and justice and facilitated the unconstitutional and undemocratic state elements in the worst political revenge.
  • The method of turning the courts into kangaroo courts with the help of compromised judges who lack professional integrity and personal values and morals is very destructive.
  • Chairman Imran Khan as a client and Tehreek-e-Insaf as the largest political party of the country has expressed no confidence in Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Justice Aamir Farooq in an unambiguous manner.
  • It has become a tradition of Justice Amir Farooq to murder justice by reserving judgments on important legal points and to deprive Chairman Imran Khan of justice.
  • A petition against Justice Amir Farooq is also pending in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
  • The Chief Justice of Pakistan should take immediate notice of the law being tampered with by compromised judges in his subordinate courts.
  • The Chief Justice of Pakistan should hear the pending petition against Justice Aamir Farooq and the right of Chairman Imran Khan to a fair trial should be entrusted to conscientious judges to hear the cases.
  • In the meeting, the Chief Justice of Pakistan was also requested to issue an immediate notice regarding the suspension of the constitution in the country, deviation from it and evasion of holding elections within the constitutional period of ninety days.
  • The country is deprived of a constitution, while the Supreme Court is spending valuable time and resources on matters of a very trivial nature.
  • The survival and development of the state is completely dependent on the decisive status of the constitution and the supremacy of the constitution and the law.
  • Instead of wasting energy on matters of lesser importance and secondary status, the Chief Justice should immediately focus on the duty of restoring the Constitution.
  • The elements involved in the promotion of lawlessness and constitutional apathy in the country by transgressing their constitutional limits should be made bound by the constitution and the Chief Justice should give the constitutional and democratic right to vote to the people within ninety days according to the intention of the constitution.
