PTI Press Release – FIA Challan Rejected

• Tehreek-e-Insaf rejects the challan submitted by FIA in the court in the cipher case.

• The challan submitted against Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan and Vice-Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi is as meaningless and worthless as the fake and bogus Cipher case.
• It is the fact that the cipher in its original state is still present in the Foreign Office, which proves the allegations leveled against the former prime minister to be baseless.
• The cipher was declassified by the federal cabinet under its own authority, after which the Official Secrets Act could not be applied, and the case died on its own.
• Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan has repeatedly demanded an independent and impartial investigation of the cipher, for which letters have also been sent to the Chief Justice and the President of the country, but no progress has been made till date.
• From the secret trial in the jail to the unjustified postponement of the judicial proceedings in the cipher case, new traditions of injustice have been established.
• Any judgment pronounced as a result of the illegality of a groundless trial will not be legal nor accepted by the nation.
• To fulfill the demands of justice, an independent and fair judicial commission should be formed to investigate the cipher and the real facts should be brought before the nation.
