- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and the Supreme Court Bar Association have approached the Supreme Court to hold general elections within the constitutional period of ninety days.
- Conducting elections within ninety days after the dissolution of the National Assembly is a basic constitutional requirement.
- One of the key duties of the Supreme Court of Pakistan is to ensure that the constitution is implemented according to its will and intent.
- The tradition of undermining the Constitution can prove to be very destructive for the existence and stability of the state, the Supreme Court should take immediate steps to abolish it.
- The caretaker Prime Minister's tour of the world on official resources is highly condemnable.
- Pakistan is facing serious economic difficulties and severe scarcity of resources.
- The caretaker government is only responsible for carrying out day-to-day affairs and assisting the Election Commission of Pakistan in conducting free, fair and impartial elections.
- Instead of getting rid of the very destructive political instability for the country through clear and transparent elections, caretaker prime minister is worsening the situation with foreign travel and foolish rhetoric.
- The Caretaker Prime Minister should avoid showing indifference while traveling around the world and wasting national resources while exceeding his constitutional mandate.
- The nation should be told how much has been spent from the national exchequer on the entertainment of the caretaker prime minister.
