Attempted Assassination of President Donald Trump
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) condemns the assassination attempt on Republican presidential candidate and former President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump, and wishes him and others injured in the attack a quick recovery. PTI expresses condolences to the family of the victim who lost his life in the attack.
There is no room for violence in democracy. The use of force and violence has become a challenge for supporters of democracy globally.
As Pakistan’s most popular political party and a representative of the people of Pakistan, PTI is flag-bearer for peace, dialog, and debate. An attack on fundamental human rights, the rule of law, or democratic values anywhere in the world is an attack on democracy itself, which the international community must join hands to prevent.
