As per PTI International By-law, this election process will select for two positions namely, PTI UK President and General Secretary.
The Election will take place on Saturday 17th May 2014, at 3pm in Birmingham. All elected bodies will be invited to attend a compulsory meeting. Those who are unable to attend will be given the opportunity to vote via phone or to vote via secret ballot that will be posted prior to the meeting take place on the 17th May.
The electoral college for the two positions would be the members of PTI UK Elected Bodies only (all 12 regions).
Anyone from the elected body can nominate themselves for any of the two positions.
All nominations to be submitted to OIC, by 9th of May
The candidates will be elected through a secret and anonymous balloting process.
A fee of ??300 for President candidate and ??200 for General Secretary candidate will need to be paid by the 9th of May.
Only the elected body will vote for the contested candidates
On the day of the Election, the contested candidates will be provided 5 minutes to pitch their business case stating why they should be elected for the post.
The voting processes will be overseen and conducted by member of the OIC and the Finance Board.
Vacant regional positions will be nominated by the remaining regional elected body.
