Newly Elected PTI UK Leadership Meets in High Wycombe | Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf

On bank holiday Monday, the newly elected leadership gathered in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire in an informal get together which was organised by the newly elected president of the South East chapter Anwar Ul Haq and his team, General secretary Qadeer Ahmed, Vice president Aamer Rana and Information secretary Ahmed Ali. The guests came from all over UK and Wales in this first gathering of the Insafians since the recently held intra party elections.

Amongst the guest list were president of Wales Riaz Hassan, president North East Mohammad Amin, president East of England Rana Ejaz Mehmood, president North West Abdul Basit Shah, president East Midlands Basharat Saleem, from West Midlands Usman Mir and vice president of London chapter Adeel Lodhi and several other elected members across the country. Although majority of the participants have been colleagues within the PTI UK set up, there were several new faces in this informal get together who keenly introduced themselves to the other participants.

President of the host chapter, Anwar ul Haq introduced to the gathering his panel and the extended team which comes from various towns in the region and included Ahsan Elahi from Woking who, with his equally committed wife Saffina Elahi, has played central role in the recently concluded elections. In a brief address, Anwar ul Haq thanked the guests for coming from as far as Wales and north of the country. He paid tribute to the unity, determination and faith of those who are ever enthusiastic to participate in PTI's continuous struggle for a new Pakistan. He also thanked and congratulated OIC, UK Finance Board and Election Commission for conducting a highly successful and smoothly held intra party elections. The gathering included some of the prominent names of PTI UK from the past including Hamid Sana and Amir Chishti. Old and new, exchanged their thoughts and views for the future of PTI in a lively atmosphere.
