<p>Press Release: Attack on Freedom Flotilla - Muslim world must unite to ensure freedom of all civilians -&#160; Rabia Zia</p> <p>London&#160; May 31-05-2010 - PTI UK condemns the attack on the Freedom Flotilla killing 20 civilians and wounding dozens others in the Mediterranean Sea. The Flotilla of six small and medium sized boats which was on its way to deliver and distribute humanitarian aid and basic relief goods to the Gaza Strip included Talat Hussain, the Pakistani TV anchor as well as pro-Gaza groups from Greece, Sweden Turkey and others.</p> <p><br /> The Gaza Strip has been under a relentless Israeli blockage since the Islamic Resistance movement Hamas were elected to run the coastal territory in June 2007.&#160;&#160; Israel has a long history of blatant disregard of the International Law and the Geneva Convention and it is about time that the Muslim world come together to break the siege of Gaza.</p> <p><br /> This latest atrocity by the Israelis has shocked and outraged us all and we request the entire Muslim world to unite and protest against this act of state sponsored terrorism by Israel.&#160; This is an open violation of human rights and free</p> <p><br /> We request&#160; the Government of Pakistan to take urgent measures to ensure that the people on the Flotilla are freed and returned home safely including Talat Hussain. <br /> &#160;<br /> Rabia Zia<br /> PTI UK</p>
