Speaking to The News here he said: "Every party has its internal disagreements amongst members but that does not mean that they should take to washing their dirty linen in public."

"it is further distressing that the aim of this media campaign seems to be to discredit Sahibzada Jahangir, a founding member of the party whose loyalty, dedication, sincerity and Commitment to the party can be in no doubt whatsoever.

"I have therefore instructed both the Secretary General of the party as well as the International Steering Committee that in future, if any member of the party uses the mass media instead of the forum within the party to air his or her grievances, severe action would be taken against such violators of basic party discipline."

The PTI chief made it clear that his confidence and trust in Sahibzada Jahangir were total and unqualified and that he held Mr Jahangir in the highest esteem. He said his services and sacrifices over the years for Pakistan and for the party are immense and that he is a true friend of the people of Pakistan.

When contacted by The News, Sahibzada Jahangir said he appreciated the trust and faith that Chairman Imran Khan had in him.

He further stated that he had politely declined the UK leadership offered to him by the Chairman, due to his business commitments, but would continue to help and support the PTI.

(Scanned copy of The News report can be found at the following Read More ... link.)
