12th September 2023 News Headlines

A summary of today's important and breaking news regarding PTI and the country that the mainstream media of Pakistan will never show you.

  1. Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has been illegally detained for 38 days now. There isn't a solid case against Imran Khan, so delaying tactics are being employed to delay bail in every case. The decision on Imran Khan's three applications in the Islamabad High Court has been reserved but is not being announced. The transfer from Attock to Adiala Jail, the open trial of the Cypher case, and the judge's eligibility to hear the case - evidence for all three requests is complete. However, Chief Justice Aamer Farooq is not issuing a verdict yet.
  2. The wife of Chairman Imran Khan, who has no political affiliation, is being continuously targeted for political revenge. She appeared in the NAB court for the Al-Qadir case and then for the ToshaKhana trial case. In both cases, the prosecutor had no evidence against her, and he looked visibly helpless. After this, the court extended Bushra Bibi’s interim bail until September 26th. After appearing in court, Bushra Bibi arrived at Attock Jail to meet Imran Khan.
  3. Chairman Imran Khan's sister, Noreen Niazi, met with him in Attock Jail. After the meeting, she stated, "Imran Khan is inside, but we will continue his struggle. From where he left off, the struggle will persist." Imran Khan’s sister, Noreen Niazi, answering questions about Imran Khan's health, replied “Alhamdulillah [All Praise is to God]”
  4. Chairman PTI Imran Khan's lawyer stated in his tweet, “The hearing against secretly recording from inside Imran Khan's house, his wife’s phone tapping, and bugging has been postponed till September 18th by the Islamabad High Court. It is argued that this action violates Articles 4, 9, 14, and 19 of the constitution, And to declare all of these actions as illegal and the opponent should prevent all institutions from using this action in any way, or from engaging in any form of misuse or harassment.
  5. While speaking in “The Daily Show”, guest Sibghat Virk stated, "Media's positive role in social development: What are the objectives that has led to those whose role in social reform was like a watch dog, today, are fulfilling the duties of a lap dog. How did this initiate in Pakistan? For which fringe benefits were the “pens” sold? Advertisements around the world are used for public development and information.  It can be estimated through PTI's 43-month tenure and PDM's 16-month government advertisements that PDM spent all the money on allegations, baseless accusations, and lies."
  6. Justice Sultan Tanveer of the Lahore High Court heard the request for the recovery of Zahoor Mashwani, the brother of PTI leader Azhar Mashwani. This was the fourth request filed for Zahoor Mashwani's recovery. The police filed a report to include Zahoor Mashwani in a missing persons case. However, the court rejected the report with strong objections and issued a warning to the police officers who are scheduled to appear today that they might face contempt of court if they do not recover Zahoor Mashwani. Hearing has been postponed.
  7. Former Provincial Minister and Provincial Vice President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Dr. Amjad Ali, after being released in Swat, has been illegally arrested outside the jail by the Malakand Levies for the fifth time. On the other hand, the bail request of Omar Sarfraz Cheema has also been rejected. Omar Sarfraz Cheema, Dr. Yasmeen, Usman Dar, Ejaz Chaudhry, Hassan Niazi, many female leaders, anchor person Imran Riaz and thousands of civilians have been illegally detained for more than one hundred days straight.
  8. The police have arrested Dilawar Ilyas, a young man, in case number 732/23, and are seeking his physical remand on the basis that he shouted "Pakistan Zindabad." Circumstances have been made such that if you say "Pakistan Zindabad," they will arrest on charges of terrorism.
  9. Three days ago, despite all the injustices, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf clearly won in the Astore constituency of Gilgit-Baltistan. However, the election results have not been released yet. The people of Gilgit have been protesting outside the Returning Officer's office for 3 days. They have been raising slogans in favour of Imran Khan.
  10. In an interview, Ishaq Dar claimed that international organizations were afraid that he might bring the dollar below 200, but the truth is that Ishaq Dar's preference for keeping the dollar at 100 led Pakistan into default in 2018. Then, in 2023, he led Pakistan to another imminent default by keeping it at 200. Ishaq Dar is still eager to get another opportunity.
  11. Prices of various bakery products, including bread loaf, have been increased by 5 to 20 rupees. Prices of bun and rusk have also been raised by 10 to 20 rupees.
  12. The PIA loan and obligations have exceeded 743 billion rupees. Payment of the loan for the national airline is impossible. PIA had asked for 23 billion rupees for the payment of interest on the loan, which the caretaker government rejected. The PIA loan is more than five times its assets. In the last fiscal year, the national airline incurred a loss of 87 billion rupees.
  13. The unanimous declaration of the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has been released. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is the biggest national party of the country. Relief from the political instability and economic misery in the country lies in the implementation of the constitution. After the dissolution of the National Assembly, holding free and transparent elections within 90 days in the light of the Constitution is the only way forward. It is hoped that the President and the Supreme Court will play their role in the formation of a democratic Pakistan for the welfare of the people.
