Mian Mehmood Ur Rasheed has been a senior member of PTI from Lahore since 1997, and is remarkable for his unwavering dedication to PTI for over two decades. He is the former opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly, representing PTI. He was a member of the Punjab Assembly from 1988 until 2022. He has been arrested since May 2023 on completely baseless charges, while being denied proper medical care and being kept in poor conditions. He is a senior and experienced politician, having served as Provincial Minister of Punjab for housing, urban development and public engineering in the PTI Punjab government from 2018 to 2022. He ran from PP-169 Lahore-XXV in the 2024 elections but had his seat unlawfully rigged. He is still being kept in terrible medical conditions by authorities for no reason whatsoever other than illegally cracking down on PTI.
