Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has directed to transfer 400 kanals of land as already identified to Pakistan Air Force for different educational projects that included Aviation Training Center and Air University Campus in collaboration with PAF. He also directed Additional Deputy Commissioner Nowshera to explore suitable building to be rented out for the Aviation Training Center till the construction of its own building. He was presiding over a meeting to discuss progress on his directives regarding various projects initiated in collaboration with PAF here at Chief Minister Secretariat Peshawar the other day. On the occasion, the Principal Advisor to Chief Minister on Technical Training and Aviation informed the meeting that in line with the Chief Minister’s directives, the site was visited by PAF team and considered suitable for Air University Campus. On inquiry by the Chief Minister, Principal Advisor told that both the project i.e. Aviation Training Center and Air University Campus can be combinedly started at one location. He informed that funds for purchase of equipments and salaries of staff for Aviation Training Center had already been approved by the KP-TEVTA BoD.
The Chief Minister directed to transfer the already marked 400 Kanal lands for the purpose. Regarding establishment of PAF Cadet College, Pervez Khattak said that college should be established in an area where there is no cadet college in such areas which needed Cadet College. He directed SMBR to explore and transfer 1000 Kanal land to PAF for the proposed Cadet College once the need was identified and the subsequent land transfer was made.
Chief Minister however said that the government was thinking for the future projects for the province. There were projects that his government would intitate and would take time to complete but certainly such projects would become a milestone to change the destiny of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He also directed to explore 4000 Kanal of land for Mega project of PAF which would be transferred to PAF on payment. Regarding Construction of Protection Wall at Dallas Drain near PAF Housing Society at Warsak Road Peshawar, the Chief Minister directed the quarter concerned for the immediate allocation of funds to construct the protection wall. He also directed for the tendering process to overhaul MI-171 helicopter.
The Chief Minister further directed to quickly start construction of Air Craft Hangar for provincial government helicopter.
