LONDON:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) UK  members staged a peaceful protest demonstration on Saturday outside US Embassy London  to express solidarity with Dr Aafia Siddiqui.

Karachi: Secretary General PTI, Dr. Arif Alvi has announced a framework for international chapter elections in the year 2010. Certain chapter bodies have been dissolved and task given for making 30 paying members as soon as possible to hold elections.

The activist meeting was conducted at Mr Akram Dhareeja’s residence. The active members of PTI came from all parts of the country including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield and Blackburn.

On January 17 2010, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf UK organized a huge jalsa for their Chairman Imran Khan.  There were more than 1600 people at the Coliseum in Ilford. 

London: "The solution is to hold a dialogue with the militants," he told an audience at the Chatham House foreign policy thinktank in London. "The solution is to win them onto our side, not to bomb them with airstrikes."

The NWFP President Mr Asad Qaiser, Mr Javaid Iqbal Yousafzai and Mr Fazl-e-Rabi hosted a working lunch meeting for Ms Rabia Zia (PTI UK) in Swabi on Dec 26 2009.

London: 29^th November 2009 was the beginning of a new initiative for promoting “Internal Democracy”. The meeting was organized for the members by the members of PTI UK. The meeting was focused on 3 point agenda of Empowerment of the people through Transparency & Accountability as A vision of a True Democracy.

PTI UK  condemns any curbs on media as these draconian actions are only taken by a government whose main aim is to control criticism on its policies.  Rabia Zia stated that the freedom of media is a key element of 'true' democracy and  throughout the history of Pakistan, the first institution to be targeted by a 'civilian' or 'military' dictatorship is the 'media'. 

The details of paying members from overseas chapters has been updated. From July 2009 to November 2009, 38 members have become paying members. The top slots for paying member countries remain unchanged.

London: PTI UK protested in London along with journalist Yvonne Riddley demanding immediate release of Dr. Aafia. They reminded the political parties the promises they made before 2008 elections assuring the nation about her release.

While speaking over the phone to PTI members in UK, member ISC, Mr. Imran Ismail assured them that he himself will be paying a visit to UK shortly to implement the strategy being formulated by the ISC for conducting the elections in UK.

Islamabad: Media advisor to chairman Zahid Kazmi will be visiting London on a nine day visit to restart the pending election process in UK. 

 UK PTI arranged a fund raiser dinner in Slough UK, on Sept 25 2009 to raise money for the party.  The event was put together by Rabia Zia and her team across the UK (Bristol, Reading, Nottingham, Bradford, Oldham, Birmingham, Oxford) and included  Asim Khan, Kashif Jan, Ahmad Raza, Rizwan Chand, Furqan Nadeem, Sobia Zia, Imran Aslam, Atif Choudhary, Yaseen Ilyas, Khurram Naeem, Kamran Malik, Asad Mahmood, Basit Shah, Abdul Naveed, Saqib Sulaiman, Kashif Choudhry, Asif Mahmood, Adnan Tariq, Zaheer Abbassi, Tayyab and many others.  The dinner was sponsored by Mirch Masala restaurant.

PTI Chairman Mr Imran Khan strongly condemns the suicide attack in Bannu / Peshawar on September 26 2009 on a police station where 10 people have died so far and 70 have been injured. 

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan, while talking in a TV interview said that if MQM gives up politics of terror, then they are natural alliance.

London - 22 Aug, 2009 PTI UK team celebrated Jashn-e-Azaadi on Aug 16 2009 in the UK. The event was very successfull and well attented as guests included families with children. The families had come from various cities across the UK and all had a chance to share their thoughts on the 63rd birthday of Pakistan.

The UK PTI Website is not an Official Website of the party as of 15^th August 2009.  All membership obtained through the said website before this date shall be considered legitimate but no new membership after this date shall be acknowledged.

UK PTI strongly condemns the the incident in Gojra on Aug 1 2009 that has resulted in the loss of lives of innocent Pakistanis who were Christians and asks the Government of Pakistan to bring the criminals to justice. 

London: PTI Chairman Imran Khan said he was extremely distressed by the fact that a few members of the PTI in the UK had resorted to a "media circus" to air their grievances.

‘Pakistan is the biggest collateral damage of the ongoing Afghan war, and because of this war we are at war with our own people, our citizens are dying, our soldiers are dying, governance has collapsed and no foreign investment is coming to Pakistan,’ declared Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf chief Imran Khan at a Meet-the-Press event here on Wednesday.

Terming the Local Bodies System as the bedrock of democracy, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan urged the Government to remove the associated weakness and allow the arrangement to continue as it benefit the common man at the grass root level.

The Birmingham jalsa for Chairman PTI Imran Khan on 17th July 09 was a resounding success with an impressive gathering of more than a thousand people.

MORE than 1,000 supporters of cricket legend turned politician Imran Khan laid siege to a Birmingham venue as he arrived on a fundraising drive.  Hordes of people were locked out of the Pearl Palace in Digbeth as the former Pakistan all-rounder spoke to drum up backing for his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party.

"Trouble and suspicion" will continue to persist between India and Pakistan unless the "root" issue of Kashmir was resolved

Ruling out a military solution to the conflict in Afghanistan, Chairman, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan has called for negotiated settlement through the formation of a consensus government in the land-locked south west Asian country.

On the recommendation of the International Steering Committee the UK Election Commission which was constituted on 2nd June 2009 is hereby dissolved.

London: UK election commission met on 8th July for its third meeting. Mr. Naeem ul Haq, who is a PTI CEC member has been included in the election commission.

UK: In response to a petition filed by Mr. Muhammed Imtiaz  requesting stay in the process of accepting nominations by the UK Election Commission, the ISC has accepted the request and granted stay in the process of elections.

This is an announcement confirming the resignation of Mr. Shahd Dastagir as the secretary of the election commission for PTI UK - please note that the rest of the Election Commission will perform its duties and as appropriate will find a suitable replacement.

The Elections for the post of PTI UK Office bearers ( President , Vice President, General Secretary, Secretary Welfare, Finance Secretary, Information Secretary) are going to be held on the 5^th of July. The last date for filing the nomination papers for the post of president is 27^th June, as decided in the 2^nd meeting of election commission and recorded in the minutes of meeting. So whoever want to stand for any of the above listed positions kindly find the nomination forms below and send it to the address by 27^th of  June 2009.

London: In the second meeting of UK election commission on 20th June 2009, important decisions were made related to upcoming elections.

Sahibzada Jahangir, chief election commissioner has called a meeting of the election commission on 20th June to finalize the election procedures and details.

As per the election notification, membership cut off time for UK elections is today 11:59pm London Time. Any members being made after this time and date will not be eligible to vote in UK elections.

London: In a meeting held on 29^th May of the Ex-PTI UK Core Team, it was decided to nominate Ms. Rabia Zia for the role of the PTI UK President in the upcoming elections.

London: In a meeting on Sunday, 24th May, Mussadiq Khan presented Khawaja Imtiaz as a candidate for PTI UK president in the upcoming elections. This was unanimously agreed by the attendees.

The International Steering Committee has appointed Mr Sahibzada Jahangir as the Chief Election Commissioner for UK Elections.

New targets are being achieved by PTI UK with another launch in Tooting on May 09 2009 at the Yar's Village Restaurant Tooting. The event was hosted by Mr. Ahmad Yar who himself is a great supporter of PTI.

Upon the recommendation of the International Steering Committee I would like to announce that Elections of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in the United Kingdom shall be held on Sunday July 5^th 2009.

London: PTI UK has hit another milestone with the East London launch on May 03 2009 at the Asian Centre Walthamstow.  This was the day when Mr. Imran Khan Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was banned from traveling to Karachi despite that fact that the Chairman PTI was taking a peace message to Karachi & was also invited to a fund raiser for SKMT Karachi
