I have not seen much of the activity in PTI Sweden section of the forum. I have read a topic regarding slow movement in this section. I was wondering what is going on with PTI in Sweden?????

My personal experience is that due to large number of students who came to Sweden in the past 5-6 years and they are present in every major town of Sverige, Pakistani community is present in all of these towns.  They are quite active in many matters and do have representation among students and organize and participate in many activities.

I have not seen any info about PTI in other larger cities and town of Sweden except Stockholm.  But I do believe that a good number of community is spread in almost all major town.

The students case is a bit different. Many have goals to achieve and they are in the mid way to their career making struggle, it is difficult for them to think about politics.

keeping in mind the general way of life in   Sweden and hardships newcomers face, I can understand why students participation is limited. But this can be overcome very easily since there are hot spots and topics where students are always interested in to know and participate and this is where PTI Sweden should start.

Sweden is different as compared to other EU countries where Pakistanis reside and work in the beginning will be really demanding but once on track, I think PTI can get most valuable  leaders, experts, professionals and workers on broad due to the training and cultural experience while living in Sweden which is unique among EU countries.

I am living in Göteborg. I am trying to collect those PTI fans and supporters scattered though via personal contact or facebook etc. Lets hope we will be able to have a proper chapter started and working.

You can contact the Sweden chapter to activate Linkoping chapter.

We will be needing more paying members to have official chapters in each city. Currently I can see that there are about 10 paying members of PTI from Sweden.

@Hafizyasirali: There are a lot of Pakistani students in Linkoping and we know that students are all with IK and PTI. I suggest you take the initiative yourself and try to build the Linkoping chapter.

I am working from my side but still lot of to do... its tough to organize scattered people here in this city but hopefully soon we will launch PTI Linkoping group in facebook. It would be better if we have one PTI Sweden group so people all around Sweden can join it.

Hafiz!

I agree with you totally, we need to have one facebook page for the whole of Sweden. We need a "common ground" so to speak. I cannot believe why this hasn´t happened yet. I just phoned the membership coordinator in Stockholm and he promised me to phone me tonight, let´s see what we can do. The goal is not only to recruite pakistani students, but also the pakistani people, like me, who are living here permanently.

For people to join PTI Sweden, there must be something that is intended for them to do. It seems like we are unsure what that something is ...

Do we have aims for 2012? What are they? Do we have a strategy to achieve these aims?

Best regards,
Qambber, Sweden.
