Korangi 1, Korangi 2,3 Bilal Colony, Awami colony, Mehran town, Shareef abad, Korangi industrial area from Godam chorangi to Singer chorangi come under PS 125. I will say if there is no Thappa Baazi from MQM this is our seat.
There were about 55 polling stations in this PS in last election and MQM thapa baazi worked on 30 polling stations 25 Polling stations were out of their control even then they got 45000 vote and win from PS 125.
SEE THE DIFFERENCE. IF THE AREA IS UNDER CONTROL OF MQM THEY LOST FROM EVERY POLLING STATION. IF ITS THEIR AREA THEY GOT THOUSANDS OF VOTE IN ONE POLLING STATION.

| Excellent analysis Qadeer sb, but we have to work out how to stop rigging of MQM. Until and unless we dont work out and execute a solid plan, it would be extremely difficult to stop rigging. We cant solely rely on Govt machinery and administration. If they take active step, good for us but we must work out a contingency plan and should have a proper back up plan to not only stop rigging but alos urge voters to come out and vote.
Since I am facing exactly similar siutation in PS 121, so kindly intitame what could be done to stop rigging. One of my suggestion for the PTI voters is to come to the polling station at the earliest hours i.e. if polling starts at 0800 hrs in the morning, the PTI voters should throng the polling stations immediately to cast their votes and stop this thing that votes of eligible voters casted by MQM, what do you say??? | | | |

I know Korangi area since many of my relatives live there and I visit it almost every year (I live in Lahore). Korangi is easy and yet difficult. MQM has a strong hold over people here and just few months back a rickshaw driver from the area told me that MQM ghundas have his NIC card and many other people. My uncle went to poll his vote in the last election and was sent back from MQM ghundas that he doesn't need to come.
So I guess PTI should have an effective plan for such areas in Karachi where MQM does thappa-bazi. I don't mind if any other party wins this seat but PTI should get its fair share of votes, so does every other party. | |
