Why don't we go to SC against Zardari , for holding two positions,     In fact I will argue that even if he surrender as a party chairman,  and keep only Presidency, still he is not allege-able as a  president,  Because his known position as party leader, there fore his probability for biases can not be disregard,.....

Brother if supreme court has to do everything....then whats the need for political parties..if supreme court takes all decisions against ppp then it will be termed as an anti-ppp court rather than supreme court so it can only go upto a certain extent.

it is the opposition parties especially the munafiq league who is doing nothing...people ask of PTI but dont forget we have only grown after 30 oct in terms of being a major political player..so its not even been a full year and yet the same criteria which is used to judge pml.n's opposition peformance...that same criteria is used on us...which is not correct.

if munafiq league would have resigned we wouldnt even be having this govt. ritenow so ultimately its the job of opposition political parties to compel govt to make these decisions...we should only burden supreme court upto a certain extent.

http://www.thaindian.com/newsportal/south-asia/lahore-hc-reserves-verdict-in-zardari-dual-office-case_100512350.html

Lahore high court tried this case but they have reserved the ruling , I think this is a pivotal and important issue for Pakistan present and future ,A president who is holding a dictatorial powers through the president office and National assembly, is very much in a position to influence the electoral process, in past we have seen him influencing P.M. and N.A. on the issue of opening a case in Switzerland courts,,,
He proved that he has ability to influence the national elected body ,because he also have dictatorial powers to PPP.
I think PTI should go to court on grounds of partiality of president . where his loyalty is divided in between loyalty to his party's ideology and interest, and to his loyalty to state of Pakistan...... he has demonstrated his partiality by rejecting order of S.C. and over riding the law . there fore committing a crime or being an accessory to the criminal activity.....regardless of politics he or any other one person should not be the owner of the fate of Pakistan ,,,We have dealt only to ploy, lets have a real battle.....I think PTI should take this lead..For the sake of Pakistan..........

What do you mean by it is too hot to touch,, what is the fear or by whom, are you saying our court are working under by some other power, other than Pakistani constitution, why are we so lame or idle on such a vital issue, on which the future of Pakistan depends,,,,,,,

On the law of reserved verdict maximum time is 90 days,,,,,after that its open for trial ..

There is also longstanding issue of President holding dual nationality. There were rumors about it sometimes back about a US website(nndb.com) declaring Mr. Zardari as US national. Later it retracted its record and changed the nationality to Pakistan. One can ask under whose pressure this decision was made and also what was the source of website.

Here is image of original record

http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/7648/zardarim.jpg

which someone has saved before it was edited. Details are taken from comment here

http://pakistanmediawatch.com/2010/06/14/the-news-sinks-to-a-new-low-with-report-on-zardaris-nationality/

Given his prolonged stay abroad and holding immense wealth in France, US, UK and UAE. it is higlly likely that president holds dual citizenship. Can anybody dig out nationality databases of these countries?

This is already being challenged in SC... and Lahore high court is also hearing this case. So now if PTI goes to SC again it may be taken as "point scoring" by our *FREE* media as well as opponents.

Here is a latest update on this issue:

Dual offices case: LHC gives Zardari 'one more chance'

Published: June 27, 2012

Court says president's non-compliance will lead to contempt of court proceedings. PHOTO: REUTERS

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has given President Asif Ali Zardari “one more chance” to comply with the court’s order, adding that the court will begin contempt proceedings if this was not done, Express News reported on Wednesday.

On May 12, last year, a full bench of the LHC had ruled that Asif Zardari could not continue as co-chairman of the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) while sitting in the Presidency.

The bench had asked him to either step down as co-chairman of the PPP or stop using the presidency for politicking.

During the hearing of the dual offices case in the LHC, the court said that it was the president’s duty to implement the order of the full bench which he had violated earlier.

The court had earlier issued a notice to Zardari for holding two offices in violation of its earlier order.

@stuff321

Well to be honest we can't predict any time line for this process.. However the earlier would be better for the country.

In my personal opinion a neutral president can play an important role in free and fair elections ! With zardari I really doubt if we can have fare elections.
